I'm a female, 30-something, Democrat who hasn't been affected by the recession (other than not getting college aid for my son), isn't feeling any stress over it, and is really happy.

Did the world just tilt a little?

I'm a Democrat and I'm miserable.

Life sucks.

Rotten tomatoes, curdled milk and fermented eggs for you too, so nyeah.

sounds like the evaporator coils are iced up, causing a warm refrigerator box. you should pull all of the food out of the freezer section and remove the back panel (on GE models, or bottom panel on most others) and use a hair dryer to de-ice the coils. then just put it all back together and set your freezer and refrigerator controls in mid zone and run for 24 hours. should fix the problem of a warm refrigerator box.

I am a democrat and happier than a pig in sh!t...the gop is out of power and relying on a crazy ####### like palin to rescue them..and take marching orders from a pompous drug addict...

I've come to terms with the fact that our current president is a pompous drug addict. Democrats in pig sh!t; an extremely apt metaphor. Bat sh!t will also do.

Oh now, BW, I thought you didn't like violations of TOS? Will you now voluntarily report yourself this time or should I? It's not that I mind the insults so much, it's just that you don't play fair...if you're gonna throw rocks, you need to move out of that glass house of yours...perhaps a cave?

Rock throwing is a respectable profession on the OT. :D Throwing rocks at the Right is something you do often. Not fair to you when we pick up a few of yours and throw them back? Which part are you objecting to anyway? The metaphor I lifted from Dean, or your own chosen handle? Just call me inspired . . .

It's certainly odd. It seems the VJ right have translated this article into the idea that simply holding Republican views will guarantee happiness. Good luck with that :D

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

With "Barry" being in office and the various "tea parties" across the country you have to wonder how true that really is ;)

I see a lot more passive-aggressive behavior from the VJ right vs. happiness. Seems more like sour grapes from losing the majority of elections over the past few years.

Hmmm - a long winded way of saying:

"the grass is always greener"

"be grateful for what you have"

It is funny that everything must be reduced down to an aspect of the partisan divide. Only in this country would that happen.

Yes, it does get irritating after a while. I think it is because the US only has 2 major political parties (while still daring to call itself a democracy) while most European countries have at least 5. I really hope more political parties develop in the US since the 2 we currently have are both full of total idiots.

As far as the OT is concerned I've also read the opposite being true. If you look at a list of the top 10 happiest countries in the world the US doesn't even make the list. The happiest countries tend to be European, mostly northern European, which are a hell of a lot more liberal than you could even call American Democrats.
