I learned from USCIS that my I-130 petition was approved on may/01/2009. However, NVC has not yet received my case. When I called them, they said they haven't received my case. It has been almost 50 days. According to other individual that I saw in other websites, it is taking 10/15 days. I am very frasterated and don't know what to do. I have called USCIS office and was told that even if NVC receives my case, they don't assign it a case number (so not in the system) right away. What do I have to do? help-please

It's only been 12 days since May 1st, not 50. Do you have your dates right?

This has been happening more often lately. It will get there, just keep checking. Unfortunatly, they(NVC) will keep saying 6-8 weeks until it arrives, but it never takes that long.

It's only been 12 days... dont start freaking out just yet :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I understand that every day seems like an eternity during this process sometimes. Especially for those that have already waited longer than the norm and it seems like everything that can go wrong has... We waited almost 9 months for an approval only to be pulled for random AP at NVC for 52 days. Believe me, I can relate.

Here is an example and you can see that it has been happening to others.

The good news is that it doesnt take the "6-8 weeks" that they quote you when you call the NVC.

Good Luck and I hope it gets there within the next few days.

thank you but is Sucks to be waiting for the approval to be sent to NVC. The process you would assume that would happen immediately!
