@Cartman: I wonder, too. Mine got touched the day of the biometrics and on Memorial Day (I don't know what that means). BUT people usually get there aproval notice pretty fast after that for the EAD. Mine just sits there and nothing happens....Does that mean I get an RFE?

@FormelyCA: I didn't figure it out for a long time either. You have to create an account on the USCIS website. And add your cases. Then you can see "Last update" dates and that means it was touched. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp

I added my stuff and woohoo....my biometrics stuff was "touched" yesterday. I guess that's cause I did it then but whatever, still exciting!

This is all so weird. I slowly get the feeling that this system is not working totally correct. Everybody has different updates and timelines...and there is not really a way to say "seems like an RFE is coming" or "should be approved soon", etc. It's all just a guess.

But it feels so good having others in the same situation to talk about all that. It helps handling the waiting...

Rexalite, you will have update very soon since you got BIO done earlier,I guess it does help on the earlier BIO.

i mentioned in my previous posts also...but your check will be cashed within 8 working days.....so, dont worry...everything's gonna be alright...

i was the same (or may be worse) as u and everyone else...i used to check my bank account online every day atleast 2-3 times!!!!

After 8 working days, my checks are finally getting cash! Hurray....I'm so broke now.... hehe..jk....its totally worth it! Cheers to all! 8 is the magic number!

Went in for biometrics this morning. Appointment was for 8 am and got seen probably about 8.40 am. The lady was very nice and it was done quickly. Yay for that.

Headed to the license office to try again to get my DL renewed. Success! (Sort of.) The lady gave me an extension of three months and if my EAD comes through before then I can go back and get the license renewed on that basis. If not I can go back before expiration date and get another extension. So here's hoping the EAD comes through quickly. I'm just relieved to be legally driving again.

Hi guys!!

Just a little post to tell you that I got an email from USCIS today saying that my AP was approved! I'm glad but I won't be going back to France before summer 2010, I only sent the paperwork in case of emergency! oh well... It is still good news I guess...

The waiting is hard for all of us and I hope that June will be a lucky month for everyone!

Congratulations Alice. At least it is something and it proofs USCIS is still working. My case hasn't been touched for almost two weeks now...which makes me already going crazy. I am so sick of waiting. Well, I hope the same as you do and June will be our month!

Congraturation Alice,normally EAD comes with AP together,wish you will get update on the EAD tomorrow!!

B&J,dont worry,since their online system is not that reliable,maybe your card is just on its way to you,just stay postive.....

Hello fellow May filers,

Just to let you guys know, we received all 3 of our NOA's this morning 06/04/2009, all 3 meaning, AP, EAD and AOS. Im really hoping by the end of this month that i will be able to work, anybody think this will be possible????

Oh also why i am here, i just have a quick question. My POE was Chicago O'Hare Airport and i went through the whole fingerprinting and pictures there and all that business, so im wondering if i will need to have a biometrics appointment?? Might be a silly question but im wondering why we would have to go through it all again?? seems kinda pointless if you ask me. Unless they are doing this so we all have to pay the same $1010 to have it all processed, robbing B******S. But thinking about it now, im sure every American airport has the same entry, meaning, every had their picture taken and fingerprints done??? Surely right???
