Hello all,

Got my 10 year gc in the mail on Friday just about a month after being approved.

Congratulations, that's great! Did you get an e-mail prior to getting an actual card?

Yep, got the "card production ordered" email on 4/24 and the "approval notice sent" on 4/29.

I-751

10/15/08 - Received NOA1

11/07/08 - Received Biometrics letter

12/05/08 - Biometrics Appointment

03/20/09 - Transfered from VSC to CSC

04/01/09 - Approved

05/01/09 - 10 year green card received in the mail

I got the letter of Approval on 5/2/09, approved on 4/29/09, and mailed on 4/30/09. I read the notice several times and noticed that the notice was signed by the Center Director at my local field office. Is that normal?

I will be waiting for the GC to arrive. When it does, the first place that I will be visiting is my local DMV to stop this nonsense of having to change my driver's license every time something expires (my EAD, my conditional GC) and get a license that actually lasts for more than a year.. :wacko:

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On May 4, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

So yeah, expect about a month to get it mailed.

Filing for N-400 now

July 25th - Received biometrics appointment

August 15th - biometrics app complete

September 15th - Infopass appointment to get extension on card.

Feb 27th - Transfered to CSC

April 2nd - Approval letter received

April 22nd - Email stating my card was mailed today!

May 1st - Greencard arrived!

Feb 2009 - Divorced

October 31st 2010 - Getting married!!

“"Happy Anniversary from the USCIS!"”…lol…Now where is my 10yr card????......

Funny too, that my AOS/2yr green card case was last touched on 04/28/07, co-incidentally on the exact day of our first anniversary….

This is sooooooooooo weird because my AOS stuff was also touched around the same time (about 1 year after we got married). What are they doing? Maybe checking if we're still married?

I could go pick my GC up, I live a mile from their building. It would save them a stamp.

Gosh, this is sooooooo frustrating... I feel like going there at 5 pm when they get off work and stand by the door and ask everyone coming out if they are the one who is supposed to send us our green cards and why are they not doing it.......

I'm not so sure if I'm right, I'm also not sure where did I get this impression from, probably read it somewhere: the GC production center is in Kansas. :unsure:

6/17/2010 - Able to see case status "Initial Review"

6/18/2010 - LUD

7/2/2010 - Called mis-information line to put in a service request for STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED "FP NOTICE"

7/8/2010 - LUD, at 2:32am, received text msg and e-mail for req. for add'l evidence being mailed out on July 6th, believe it's for the FP

7/12/2010 - Received FP notice in mail, scheduled for 8/2/2010

7/15/2010 - Walk in FP

7/22/2010 - Online status changed to "Case sent to local office for interview schedule"

7/27/2010 - Received interview letter for 8/23/2010

8/23/2010 - Passed interview, was informed that next oath date is 9/22/2010 and oath letter will come in the mail

So you guys, if they are mailing it from CSC, which is Laguna Niguel, and I'm in LA I should PROBABLY get it today. Let's see, will be home at 7 pacific.

Well,

it says the sender is Laguna Niguel, but it was postmarked from zip code 68xxx (xxx means I don't remember).

I think it's Nebraska....
