Hi everybody!

my husband requested for social secuirty card along with the visa application therefore we do not have to fill out any application. it been over a week since hes here. i know it generally takes 2-3 weeks but is there any way where we can find his ss# in any of the websites. on the handout it stated to go on ssa.gov but thats no help. i just want to know if we can find it any other way?

I highly doubt any numbers would be online.

theres no other way but to wait for it

it wnt take long ..just another 2-5 days GOD willing and u will get it

10 days after POE go to your local SSA, bring your husband's passport and ask them to check whether he is in the system. If he is and there is already a SSN assigned, they will be able to give you a printout of the number & the card should arrive shortly.

If he is but there is no SSN he can fill out an S-5 form to apply for one.

If he's not in the system he'll just have to wait for USCIS to get their act together before SSA can do anything about his SSN.

This worked for us & I was able to receive my SSN fairly soon after POE
