Domestic travel - Southwest! Easiest airline to get free flights. I actually get just as many free flights as I do paid-for flights, due to using my Southwest airlines credit card for EVERYTHING.

Travel to Jamaica - Continental. The only airline that offers a direct flight from where I live to Montego Bay.

I do like Emirates but travelling to UK and back I use Virgin because I have a gazillion miles with them and purchase the biz class flight with points. For coach they suck. The cabin crew in coach treat people like they are a nuisance and interfering with their lip gloss application time. BA first class is fantastic. I have only travelled that a couple of times but the service is wonderful. Delta are pretty good in the US and Virgin America isn't bad either (at check-in you can usually upgrade to buiness for around $200). American are horrible but the winner of worst airline goes to US Airways - never had a good flight with them. The landings always want to make you reach for your oxygen mask, and they seem to attract weirdo passengers...

AMEN.

I don't care how cheap they get, I am never flying with them again. Absolutely terrible.

Wacken, every time I see one of your posts, I laugh at your signature. I remember the thread where the man said that. HILARIOUS!

I usually fly Emirates but I like Cathay Pacific, too. Husbie flies Cathay Pacific so we are using the said airline when we are travelling together..

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

To fly to US to Indonesia - JAL, Korean Air or United. It's because those airlines had direct flight out of Chicago without domestic transfer. I have flown United 4 times round trip - it was decent. We flew Korean Air last year & it was okay. We will fly JAL this summer and fingers crossed it will be fine.

Domestic US - don't really have any because we don't travel a lot for work or personal. Whoever the cheapest will do.

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Whoever has the best fare.

Does anybody take that actual airplane into consideration? We just flew on a 777 and the economy seating was the damn most uncomfortable configuration. The angle of the seats was weird and so was the shape of them. You could not stand up 'straight' from a sitting position - you kind of had to uncoil yourself upwards. Sooooooooo awful.

Hi rebeccajo -

In response to taking airplanes into consideration, I'm a big fan of seatguru.com to help me figure out seats once I've booked a ticket. You choose the airline, then the type of plane, and it gives you reviews and pros/cons for different seats - you might want to check it out!

Domestically, I'm pretty sure I've had problems with ALL airlines. I fly very frequently and for some reason always run into either lost luggage, delays, inclement weather etc. America Airlines has given me more problems than most though. In November I took Southwest and was pleasantly surprised by the service and NO FEES on checked luggage. Otherwise, I'll usually book whichever flight is cheapest, I have no real loyalties.

Internationally, my worst experience has been without a doubt Alitalia. UGH!

I like to fly BA because I can usually do Arizona to Italy with only a stopover in Heathrow {Heathrow being the only negative, its too big, takes forever to connect to your next gate, and only 1 piece of handluggage (no personal item)}. But yet again, I have no airline loyalty. I also like Turkish airlines for fligts to the Middle East.
