Could you tell me what you are doing besides ranting on a daily basis on this forum?

I'm sad for the people around you, if you talk about this all the time here, I just can imagine the kind of talk you have with family/friends/co-workers, after some time it gets old...

JOIN USCIS, ICE, BORDER PATROL or something, satisfy your urge for justice and stop waisting your energy by posting idiotic rants, be PROACTIVE not just a sad folk trying to solve the issues sitting his behind in front of a monitor

Just another problem that Illegals Aliens In Texas has made it hard for the legal immigrants to get DL

It's almost better to be an Illegal Alien in Texas, If you get a ticket you don't have to pay it cuz their is no way to track down and Illegal Immigrant.

If happen to knock up a girl in Texas and your an Illegal Alien, no way they can get Child Support from you cuz you can't legally work in USA

If you do a crime, you can just go back to across the border(s) and come back with a different name, and start all over

Damn, I Wish I was an Illegal Alien.....................

Me too !

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f

March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !

Yeah, it's hard to be the lone voice of reason in the face of adversity. People with a lot less fortitude would have surrendered long ago.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

Bravo to the TXDPS for starting to stop passing out DLs to illegal immigrants. I've been hit twice this year by 2 Hispanic drivers without valid insurance coverage. No pitty for them! Feel free to utilize the public transportation system, aka. the BUS.

Most of them don't care to obey the law anyway, driving without insurance and valid/current drive license. Still, principle is principle. Just don't hand out DLs to them!

Really??

A legal immigrant lives here ... took all required paperwork to DMV ... completed the required tests ... and DL issued.

Sorta reminded me of when I got my DL many many moons ago ...

Many states are now changing their laws to prevent licenses from being handed out like coupons for Taco Bell.

:)

NC was a worst offender in this regard but those days are over.

Even our Top Sheriff (from what I heard on the news) is traveling around to other cities and helping them implement a program to ID all people booked in the Jail.

You can claim all the names you want but your biometrics don't change.

It's not going to get all of'em but, where Washington has failed to act... locals have, and the Illegals are feeling it.

My wife got a standard looking ID card here in Texas. She has a 10 year green card. Not sure if it would look different if it was a drivers license?

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

When my wife first came here, she had an international drivers' license my insurance company recognized, but after she received her EAD, we got a probationary SS card that all that was needed to get a DL. But that was also probationary and good for only three years, it had to be renewed when her conditional green card had expired with that infamous one year extension notice. Our DMV refused to renew her license, but that didn't stop me, called our governor was extremely upset. It took me about a week to train our new immigration officer about the stupid laws of our USCIS and how slow they were in processing. But convinced him she was here legally. He reported to the governor, and the governor told our head of the DMV to contact our local DMV to issue a new license.

At first they only wanted to renew it for the duration of her extension, I vehmently objected to that, then they renewed her license for the full eight years.

My point is that if you run into things like this, you have to have the guts to face your government leaders, if you don't, they will walk all over you, I don't like being walked over. Hell, it was this country that taught me to stand up in the face of the enemy, but seems like that enemy is right here now. And I do not depend on some stupid organization for that help.
