Good morning! Happy Wednesday everyone! It's certainly warm here. Have the A/C on with the ceiling fans. I hope

today will be cooler. I do think our weather person is a little confused. And when they are confused, I am confused!!

So hope they are right and we have lower temps today.

Maureen, 2 shampoos are better than 1 !! Cleanest hair in town!! :thumbs:

Good Morning! :)

It's still cold in Ohio :( it's 36 degrees here. GRRRRRRRR :angry: AND I have been waiting for my tax return for 8-14 business days and today is the 14th business day and I still have no tax return! I neeeeed the money.

My husband is going back to talk to someone about a job. They're Moroccan too so I hope it's like: "OMG You're a Moroccan in Delaware Ohio?! Me too! You're hired!" lol

Good luck to your husband!

In my experience or rather in my husband's experience, looking out for "own of their own" doesn't always guarantee anything. I wish him much luck though. Getting work is tough these days.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Good morning everyone!

Akram got his EAD renewal yesterday (AFTER 10 LONNNNNG MONTHS of waiting and waiting!!) alhamdulillah!!! I hope the road gets a little smoother from now insha Allah, but the bumps we've faced during the journey were really starting to take it's toll. In our almost 1 year since he's been here, we've managed to deal with losses (i prefer not to talk about it, but we're dealing with it better than we expected alhamdulillah), but alhamdulillah it makes us even stronger in faith and ourselves.

On a positive note he got his EAD card, and permission to travel papers. He had already started working alhamdulillah (but they paid him "under the table" because he didn't have his employment authorization). He's a hard worker, and I admire him for working in just about anything, as long as it was work (there's no shame in that). Now he wishes to apply for work anywhere they can pay him justly, so I'm helping him with finding a good place where he can work (computer maintenance and repair).

I've missed everyone I know here on VJ, and I know I've been away for a long time, but I needed this time to heal, and now I feel much better alhamdulillah. I guess I'm like the energizer bunny (i keep going and going and going :lol: ), so I just needed the time to re-charge.

Anyway, I have you all in my prayers always, and welcome to all the new members.

my dog had an accident on our new hardwood and i dont know what to do to get the stain out :(
