Hi all!

I'm soo glad I have found this site!! I'm in desperate need of your help.

I'm about to file for my fiance visa for my fiance.. who lives in India. I have several question on the I-129F form.

In the instruction of I-129A form it says if my fiance signs this form then he doesn't have to sign on G-325A? but on I-129A there isn't a place for him to sign.. is he suppose to sign this form?

Do I have to fill out Part E on I-129.. ? saying that I'm filling this information out on behalf of my fiance?

On G-325A- where he has to write his parent's names. Does he have to write his mom's name that she had before marriage or her after marriage name?

How many copies of his pictures do I have to send 2?

His address is way too long in India.. would it be okay if I put see attachment where I'm suppose to put his address?

last but not the least.. do I have to send the actually application in original copy or can I make a photo copy and send that?

Thank you soo much for you help!

I really appreciated it!

I always make ths suggestion. Only ONE person should fill out any forms for this process, and that should be the US citizen. I had my (now) wife sign TWO blank G-325a's and I filled them out with information she gave me. The G-325a's submitted must have an original signature and he DOES have to fill one out.

Complete all parts of the I-129f, even if it means writing "none" or "NA" (they are not the same)

If it asks for a "parents name" it is present tense. What is her name today? If it asks for "maiden name" it is her name before any marriage.

2 passport photos

Yes, "see attachment". Make sure the attachment is clearly marked what it is an answer for. Make four copies, the G-325a is a four part form, clip all the copies of the attachment(s) to the G-325a.

You must send original I-129f. I suggest you make two. If one gets lost you should be able to whip out another by addressing an envelope. Always keep a photocopy of EVERTHING you ever send for yourself (if all goes well the duplicate original is fine for your records also) Send the petition by certified mail or other confirmed delivery. Use a personal check so you have easy access to the record of payment.

READ and follow the guides and instructions and the sample forms at this site are great for the most part.

In the instruction of I-129A form it says if my fiance signs this form then he doesn't have to sign on G-325A? but on I-129A there isn't a place for him to sign.. is he suppose to sign this form? Both petitioner and beneficiary fill separate G-325A form (4-pages each) and sign it. Send original I-129F and G-325A forms to USCIS.

Do I have to fill out Part E on I-129.. ? saying that I'm filling this information out on behalf of my fiance? This part is for lawyer, if any.

On G-325A- where he has to write his parent's names. Does he have to write his mom's name that she had before marriage or her after marriage name? Name before marriage.

How many copies of his pictures do I have to send 2? One petitioner and one beneficiary photo (write full name on back)

His address is way too long in India.. would it be okay if I put see attachment where I'm suppose to put his address? Yes, it is OK, just make appropriate reference on attachment

last but not the least.. do I have to send the actually application in original copy or can I make a photo copy and send that? Actual applications but make photocopy for your record before sending it.

Thank you soo much for you help!

I really appreciated it!

Okay, so wait, I'm confused on the Mother's name thing. One poster said Mother's CURRENT MARRIED name, another poster said name before marriage. Which is it?

The g-325a asks for the mothers maiden name, so its the name she was born with.

Hi. Just curious on how many attachments really have to be placed inside the K1 visa applications. Photos for example how many should we put inside?

Letters/emails/phone records/ among others. Does it have to be bulky?

Thanks for the time.

I sent about 4 or 5 photos of the two of us in addition to the passport photo of each of us, and a copy of one letter from him, and a copy of some phone records. For the initial I-129F app you do not really need evidence of an ongoing relationship, only evidence of having met within the past 2 years. Be sure to date and explain the photos. Save the rest of your phone records, emails, chats, etc. for the interview, and make sure for the chats you don't just copy and paste into a Word document because anybody can do that, take screen shots so it is original.

I did the same. Don't forget you need a signed Letter of Intent from each of you. Also remember photos of your meeting are secondary evidence; primary evidence are passport stamps, receipts, airline boarding passes, etc. Good luck.

Read the guides, study the example forms. You can do it.

Depends on the question. The forms are quite leteral, there are no trick questions.

Mothers name? Her name as it is today.

Mothers maiden name? Her name before first marriage.

It is not NA. The correct answer is "none" or "no middle name"

Be careful with "none", NA and "unknown" It isn't correct that the question, or answer, is "NA". If, for example, you are asked how many children you have and you have none, the answer is "None", not NA. If they then ask the name of your children, then the answer is "NA". Always use names exactly on the persons passport. If there is a conflict between passport and birth certificate, ues the passport name.
