What a lovely topic. :)

I fell in love with my fiance (hope you don't mind that hes' not my Hubby yet) because he's very old school ... treats his mother so sweetly, still carries a handkerchief in his pocket, rushes to open doors/carry heavy things for a lady, works hard and tells me I'm beautiful even when my nose is red and I'm hacking into a sick bag (as what happened the last time he was here, LOL). God has blessed me with a good one. (L)

I guess everything about my wife was a plus for her. I remember meeting her for the first time and I knew that this was the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Her smile brightened up my day like no one else's. I'd find myself wanting to share all kinds emotions with her (happiness, sadness, etc.). Sounds corny, but she completes me. :)

Hi everyone! I was just wondering what would everyone's answers would be...

Why did you fall in love with your husband / wifey? :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Hmmm...it was my hubby who was in-love (and still is :) ) with me first, but I wasn't really that attracted to him until I got to know him a little more, then I discovered how kind, loving, and thoughtful he is. His sense of humor is definitely a turn on! (not to mention his well-toned chest, arms and abs! hehehe)

As crazy as it may sound, but about two years ago, my mother proposed the idea that I marry my cousin (my Queen and Love now). I instantly refused. That was 2006. She kept on asking me and kept on saying on stuff like I will get her blessings, etc. In our religion (Islam), the mother is only next online to Allah, the Prophet Muhammad, the Ahlulbayt (the Prophet's Household. Then fourth in line, comes the parents - particularly the mother. So I was beginning to feel guilty and thought maybe it is not going to be that bad and give it a chance.

So anyway, I agreed this past year and what a decision I made!!! So why do I love her? She has been everything a man can ever ask for in a wife. I find in her peace of mind, tranquility and great amount of joy (for a lack of a more accurate disruptive word). The whole purpose of marriage is the following:

And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them, and He put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
(Holy Quran Chapter 30; verse 21).

I am so much in (L) love (L) with my wife, and being the poet I am, I composed a whole album (10 songs) for her of our love, vows, and what we mean to each other, etc. Man I can not wait till our Album is released already. We sent it to two (male and female) of the most well known Somali singers. Sorry I can't sing. lol

So therefore, to me, she is a living exemplary wife of that verse for me. She completes me and she is definitely my better half. :)

That's why I love my wife whom I will be seeing in about twelve days Allah willing. :)

Take care and peace.

What is? Not to show your feelings, love and emotions for your wife? ;):D

BTW, I think you should still say it. You never know when she might read it. Could surprise you. :)

Well, my husband and I met on an online game, and at first I wasn't very fond of him, so I killed him on it. Then as the years passed, we talked more and more, and we became great friends. It wasn't until I saw him with his family that I really fell in love with him, whereas in his words, he fell in love with me the moment he saw me. I remember waiting for him at the airport, and then he came to me, and we sort of stood in front of each other completely confused and not sure what to do, but then he took me into his arms and held me really tight. Then we walked towards the car and he took my hand and held it tight. <3 I'm extremely old fashioned, and I'm horrid at making the first move. But, when he first held my hand, I found myself falling for him, and we're best friends, soul mates, and we've never fought ever. I love him so much (:

I grew in love for him slowly. At first he was so simple and sweet in his expressions and demeanor while practicing his english. Then he was so honest, he didn't say things like most other men I've know. He didn't give up on me, when I decided that a growing relationship wouldn't work between us. Really his voice just made me feel peace more than I had known in too long. And my heart seemed to be defrosted just for him and my mind came in line from there. We had to be patient and we had to be careful to understand each other. We still do, and I hope we continue to grow this way. Plus, he's so cute, so fit, and his lips are so delicious, and his hands are so big and gentle and tender. Oh I miss him.

I dont believe in "Happy Ever After", only "Once upon a time"....but when I laid eyes on my hubby...that's when I realized that "Fairytales" do exist.

I had my own fairytale with him.... and if you put GOD in the center of your relationship.. all things will go on smoothly...

We haev one common denominator.....GOD!!!
