the civilian, military, LEO markets are pretty much tied together. they all benefit from the production facilities and volumes. take away one of the three and prices get a little ... well skewed.

the "proof" for use? who decides?

Not if the manufacturer wants to lose to competitors. ;)

Just like with any other efficient licensing system... each form of usage should have its own criteria that would be silly to elaborate on at this point.

Gotta run now. 10PM bus or 10:30PM bus.

there are market / manufacturing conditions that don't always meet the "wish list". many manufacturers are more than happy to let non-profitable products go. and when someone wants that product ... they charge an amount that is ... well ... extremely profitable.

license system for use ... on a right? humm

anyway ... have a good evening. about time for me to get a few hours sleep before the twins want a feeding.

Just got home. I think the wish list is legislated based on domestic need. Kind of like not liking illegal aliens because of X and Y reasons.

Sleep tight. :)

No one else see the harm in the police having weapons but the populace is disarmed?

Don't worry nobody's going to take your macho-man squirrel rifle.

Except Obama. He already stole brother Robert's 9mm's.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

it works for the chinese government.

it worked for Mao, and Stalin, and Hitler, and Pol Pot, etc.

120 million screaming corpses murdered by totalitarian governments in this 20th century, alone.

the charismatic, well-spoken Obama was more or less a shoe-in.

"umm, umm uh, uh, uh, um, can i get a teleprompter here?"

When I listened to the last presidential speech, what I heard was someone actually thinking about what he was about to say to everyone on the planet.

Quite a bit of difference from what I heard for the last 8 years. From anyone in the last administration. 8 years of pre-determined actions and no forethought of others.

I am thankful, that our president is actually considering the words that come from his mouth.

Can I get an umhh?

Gun seizures from actual busts. Its clear-headed logic that if there is no more manufacture, then there is pretty much a decreasing supply available for criminals to replenish confiscated inventory. And then every time a gun/drug bust happens... that's even less.

so remind us again, why does mexico have a firearms problem?

Because the Cartels are busy buying them here in 48 of 50 states.

apparently you're not seeing how your first post is rendered null and void

Like I said- the cartels are here in the US buying inventory to send to México. Not that hard to comprehend is it?

Funny that my 'first post' in this thread states

Its the same BS. Ban them now, that means less future inventory problems. Law enforcement can then divert its attention to combating criminals without worrying about them resupplying themselves.

I guess that logistical part skipped a few here.

Which means that IF we band them now, THEN, law enforcement can have an easier time at seizing a resulting shrinking inventory. Surely you can understand that right?

Since México HAS a problem NOW, and its illegal to have such weapons THERE... then all they have to do is buy them HERE. Which is what they do.

and once we gut the constitution to make some have a warm and fuzzy, they'll acquire them elsewhere. it's happened before, it will happen again.

Yeah... tell that to the thousands of gun violence victims' families. *Applause*

'Gut the Constitution'... Exaggerate much?

stooping to wild tangents and the sympathy ploy so soon? it appears you've run out of reasonable arguments already.

it's not exaggeration - what part of "shall not be infringed" does not compute with you?

Ask the cops in Orange City, FL who got shot at with a variety of military assult weapons, including a .50 cal. I know they enjoyed the rush for sure!

Too bad the guy killed himself before an all out war broke out! :(

don't tell me you're using that vague term too

What would you call a .50 caliber sniper rifle and a .308 sniper rifle?

The stooping here is realizing that the entire gun control movement has a very strong support base: those that have lost family and friends due to gun violence. Perhaps you need to realize this by losing a loved one? I certainly hope not.

If that is unreasonable for you to comprehend then perhaps reason isn't clicking all that much with you at all.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Boomer and Bam-Bam

I have a bunch of 30 nato rifles in the FNFAL/M14/Rem 700, and K98 sporting configurations. they each have their own special place on the rack. The last 50 i shot was a barret 82. too heavy to shoot offhand no matter how much upper body mass you have, and quite a push from the prone. you gotta remember to keep your mouth open while squeezing off the shot.

while it may have what you may want to term a "strong base" that does not, nor should not, translate into remove or rewrite the 2nd amendment. people die in car wrecks too, yet i don't see a huge outcry over stricter licensing procedures and more tests and so on.

no, methinks the problem isn't about comprehension on my end, it's more like emotion on yours.
