I haven't read the entire thread, so I took a chance at being the first to post it. It is true, you can take away all private ownership, but the bad guys will always find a way.

Actually that is kinda lame if you take it apart because no one suggests banning guns will not deter

honest-everyday citizens from having this guns, what it won't do is get them "off the streets" or out of the criminal element .. which is the primary purpose of the ban.

Building a wall will not stop every determined person either, it just slows down the flood of law breakers coming in.

One effort is aimed at, 100% of people breaking the law (Illegals)

The other effort can only be aimed at those who are doing things legally (average or hopeful Gun owners)
