SCHEDULING INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT ASAP

Greetings!

I'm an applicant for a K-1 VIsa.. ALL my papers are done.. I'm all set, execept I got a very late interview appointment... I called earlier this morning March 25, 2009... ANd the call center said that the only available slot is April 24, 2009... Our target date for departure is mid-April... How can I get an earlier appointment???? PLEASE PLEASE I BADLY NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

Not knowing the Manilla embassy, but I would say a one month wait for an appointment is pretty fast. We waited almost two months from the time I called. I also do not know of a way to get one any faster. Also, I believe in Manilla (at least from what I read here) there is additional processing after the interview and it takes soe time to get the visa issued. For us it was 3 days after, but that's Kiev and it is a different animal altogether. From what I have read here (and if I am wrong, someone will correct me) with the Manilla embassy you would have a hard time making a mid-April departure if your interview was today.

It is never a good idea to make any travel plans before the visa is in her hand.

no way to get it earlier! you could post pone the interview date but im fairly certain you can not get an earlier interview date just because you want to be in the states earlier.....sorry, you need to wait like everybody else!

Only way I can think of is to book your original date and then ring periodically to see if there have been any cancellations. Works for the London embassy might work for the Manila one.

NEVER schedule travel around a "POSSIBLE" approval of a visa, what will you do if it were denied, or delayed for additional paperwork?
