Oh no, you stood in the wrong line! I hope it wasn't too cold. When we came up for our interview, my feet had already frozen on the drive in the tiny Danish car (apparently not insulated on the floor) and I was about ready to die with the several minutes we spent in the immigrant/USC line. I totally was not prepared for it to be so much colder in Stockholm than in Aarhus, neither was my husband, he didn't even own a proper winter coat.

You'll get the obnoxious American leanings to walk right up to the door and ask the guy which line you should be in and about how cold you are, like I did, once you've lived in America for a little while.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Yeah, i laugh at it now afterwards, but i didn't then, cause , it was too cold, i could barely feel my feet when it was my turn!! They should at least have heat in that little shelter, when they know people can stand there fo hours waiting! Just because you are not there for us citizenship or immigrant visa, you are just as important !

I was prepared for it to be colder, but i didn't prepare to stand there for so long, lol.

I wish i had asked, oh well, it's finally over :D

Tillykke!

You'll actually be happy that you had them there, at least on Skype. My mother is still pissed that I eloped both times I got married.

Unrelated: I realize the thread is full of Swedes right now, but if someone who knows Norwegian could answer my very simple question so I can stop pestering my professor (just started Norwegian last week). Why does the a get added on in the following scenario: ei mor ---> mora mi?

How did you guys move belongings? We're looking to move some bulky stuff (mostly stuff for our son, a RadioFlyer wagon like this one), far too little for a container, but too much (maybe too big/bulky?) to bring as airplane luggage.

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.
Blessed with a healthy baby boy, 08/19/2011! We get to keep our family together! Thank you! smile.png

Are you moving it from Norway to the States? I think you might find that it's cheaper just to buy a new one in the States. Shipping got expensive quickly when shipping from Sweden. There's a wagon like that one available on ebay for $115 and it cost me $200 just to ship one moving box of stuff.

I actually shipped over 10 big moving boxes from Sweden. Didn't cost too much. I did a lot of research and found very price worthy companies. They took care of everything and it was fast. Now I know you are in Norway and the company I used only work from Sweden so that won't help you much but I recommend you to Google and make phone calls!

I recieved a big package with registered (rekommenderat) mail, containing passport, divorce decrees and medical examination back. Also there was a big envelope inside that you SHOULD NOT OPEN, it is to show to the immigration officer upon arrival in the US. We have scheduled our wedding on 4.4.14 at 4 o'clock. :D

How did you guys move belongings? We're looking to move some bulky stuff (mostly stuff for our son, a RadioFlyer wagon like this one), far too little for a container, but too much (maybe too big/bulky?) to bring as airplane luggage.

I will move with suitcases and packages on the plane. I am a musician, and I am going to bring all my electronics - computer, speakers, amplifier and what not, plus at least two big suitcases with personal belongings. The last two trips to the US I filled up one big suitcase each time, so a lot of stuff is already there. But bringing over the musical equipment and extra suitcases will cost a lot of money - but my audio system alone costs $4500 (not including musical instruments), so it's cheaper than buying new stuff in the US (and I want this particular gear).

This is interesting... could you tell me what was the cheapest way you found, what company? It might be better than bring suitcases on the plane, depending on price. Is there insurance included? Would be very happy to know more about it.

What company was it? I am not intending to move stuff right now, but in the future.

Also, i know the visa will arrive in the maul, lol, but they said the visa approval, as if you get an email or something saying that you're approved? Or you just get the cisa and the envelope, and thats the approval?

The first thing on top of the stuff in the package is a letter saying "Congratulations, your K-1 Visa is now approved" or something similar. In the passport is the Visa.

Don't forget that you must bring the chest x-rays to show the customs officer - at least that's what they told me when I did my x-rays.

And... congratulations everyone on the approvals!! :D
