ok, i have a new question. I have been looking into adjustment of status ... they request a vaccination records I-693A

The thing is i am not requested to provide vaccination records now, even before my interview in the embassy. (im still at package 3) They only requested a medical exam with blood test and xray.

Just out of curiosity, does this mean i will have to get ALL the vaccines in the US? i rather get them here in my country

This is not an emergency but a real out of curiosity question.

Did anyone had this situation?

If you can, get them in your own country where it is cheaper. I know my husband got them in mexico, and just had the vaccination records transcribed by a civil surgion when he got here in the U.S since he didnt need a full medical, since that was required for the K-1 visa interview before he got his approval. Get them in your country if it is cheaper and just bring the vaccination record with you.

Yes, if you can get them in your own country cheaper, then do so. Please make sure you ask for a copy of the work sheet from the Dr. that does your medical as well as getting something written about which vaccinations you had done and the dates, for when you come to the US.

Vaccination Requirements

United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations of immigrant visa applicants are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirements. See IV Vaccination Requirements for the list of required vaccinations and additional information.

As a fiancé(e), you are not required to fulfill this requirement at the time of your medical examination for a fiancé(e) visa. However, you may want to do so. These vaccinations are required when you adjust status following your marriage.

Vaccinations are not required for the visa, they ARE required for the AOS. My wife took vacciantion records to the medical exam and the clinic translated them onto the I-693 free of charge. They gave this to her her (and both her sons) and we filed them with the AOS. She, nor her sons, needed any further vaccinations, they had all they needed already.

If you have a record of your vaccinations, take it with you to the medical clinic (see if they offer this service in Argentina)

It looks like I missed this post earlier, so I started a similar new post today. I got one reply from a trusted source, but I am looking for more. I prefer to have her wait until she gets here for her vaccinations, because I can have them covered under my insurance. It seems you all have answered 2 out of 3 of my questions.

3. Does anyone know if any specific embassies evaluate whether or not the vaccinations have been done that might in any way affect the outcome of the interview or their decision to approve or deny the visa application? It seems like they shouldn't or wouldn't, but it also seems that embassies do things differently from one side of the globe to another. Has anyone experienced something like this?

She is Nigerian living in Senegal. The Dakar CO will do the interview. Any feedback on Dakar and my question? The bottom line is that this has been an expensive process, which ain't over yet. If I can defer (or eliminate) the cost without risk to the interview results, I would prefer to do so.

You would be best served to ask your question in the Regional forums.

Most people do get their vaccinations before coming over I suppose because the K-1 is treated as if it were an immigrant visa. It's the same as the financial requirements. The I-134 is filled out simply so that the Embassy can detect whether or not the beneficiary poses a financial risk when it comes to adjust status.

hope it all works out for you

They aren't required - as payxbika has indicated.

But some consulates require them. London does. It's a policy I don't know how they get away with, but they do nonetheless. Perhaps because they process K-1's in their immigrant visa unit (something many consulates also do).

Check with your consulate for the specific answer.

OK, OK! I got the form number wrong. Thanks for the correction Pay. Now I will note, that the form number they gave us was exactly what we needed for the AOS. We sent it in and never had to provide another item related to vaccinations and the AOS was approved without question. See if the medical clinic there will do the same

Best to email the Embassy or Consulate from that country and ask. As stated earlier, Canada requires them prior to the issuance of a visa but that's the only country that seems to defy the rules. I've heard that London does as well. Maybe the whole of UK? I don't know.

The London consulate processes visas for the whole of the UK, including Northern Ireland.
