NVC Scheduling Interview Date for April 2009

Our case was complete today! Thank God!

The operator said that we are now on an "interview waiting list," and they suggested we call back the "third week of April to see if the interview is scheduled," considering that they only schedule interviews "the second week of each month." I mentioned that this is the second week of March, (still two whole days left!) and could our interview be scheduled possibly this week? And she said "Oh, no, it's still on a waiting list. Call back next month." BLAH! :bonk:

So, what are the chances for our interview date @ New Delhi being assigned in the next two days? I know that many people have been scheduled outside of the "second week."

I'm still hopeful! :D

Thanks,

Catie

Yeah ... he is so excited now that he can't even come online that much..

By the way, I think I could track DHL.... That was Shipped on March 10th. Is that ours? Only a packet that weighs 1.1lb? weird...Do they have only one care in each parcel?

Sonia

Well according NVC opeator that I spoke with, she said they have not forwarded our file to consulate as of yet so I dont know what to make out of operator info vs DHL? I hope that is the package, but let wait n see. You might want to call n find out if they forwarded your file to dhaka embassy or not?

Love the pic on your profile :) Yeah I don't know either...lets see what happens in the next few days. I would think for the early April interviews the cases need to get to Mumbai by mid next week, since people will need to submit their stuff at VFS. Will call NVC tomorrow, don't feel like being put on hold :)

THANKS!!! :)

Waithatter, the weird thing is that when I track with today's date (EXP 11 MAR 2009A), it only shows one package going to Juarez, Mexico, which is not my embassy. I was getting nervous!!! When I track using EXP 10 MAR 2009A, like you suggested, it shows a package going to Rio de Janeiro, which IS my embassy and they say it was picked up in NH today! I got in doubt because when I called the operator said they sent it today. So I thought I had to use today's date on the reference.

Well, as long as my papers arrive in Brazil this week... hehe!

Ah! Joe&Noi, thanks for sharing this info. I've seen posts about switching the visa type of the interview, but I haven't heard of people doing that in the Embassy in Rio de Janeiro. Maybe I screwed up, but in the e-mail I sent them today I was kind of "playing the fool" asking them what happens to the K-3 once they get the CR1 documents... Let's see their answer. If they decide not to switch, I'll have to wait 2 more weeks, but after waiting 1 year, I sure will survive. ;)

Monica&Isha,

I got the same response when I track using the date I gave you so, I guess you have to use EXP 10 MAR 2009A. Well overall as long as you know your file left NVC and you see it on dhl website I think you should be good to go. My file is still at NVC, hopefully they send it today.

Best of luck!

I called NVC before I left for visit with my husband on Feb 18th and they said I didn't get a date, so I just waited to call when I got home yesterday and the nvc guy said oh we sent you the mail on March 3rd that your case was scheduled as of Feb 27th (so much for them only scheduling on 2nd week of month). So they emailed the appointment letter to both husband and I on March 3rd. His interview is on April 22nd at 8 am. He's calling for appt for his medical exam tomorrow. The appt letter gave a link to a new improved dov.state page which lists pdf files for each consulate with info about the how to get the medical exam.

Congrats and good luck to all of us.

Congratulations to you and all and good luck.

I don't know if it's just w/ me, but it seems like NVC's interview setup process can be anyday of the month (contrary to "second week of the month"). You can see from my timeline that NVC setup the interview at the end of Feb. Also, if NVC has the email address, it seems like they send everything to you via email. I got my interview letter also in email. I guess that's good cuz it's faster and can be checked from anywhere. Just my experience.

MMW,

NVC usually send out appointment letter via e-mail within two days from the day they assigned interview date. So, check with NVC and explain your situation.

Best of luck!

You should email NVC at the same address you emailed the DS-3032, and just ask for them to resend the interview letter. They will probably take 2-3 days to respond.

I did call and also sent an email to them and the response both ways was they send email at no normal schedule and no way to track it. I asked if they could send it again and they said we just had to wait our interview isn't till the end of April. I will try NVC again today to see if I get an operator a little more compassionate.

That sucks, give it another few days and see what happens. Have you checked your spam folder to make sure it didn't end up in there?
