I am sorry, I have no idea what the ARC sworn statement is, either.

I think ARC stands for Alien Registration Card..so I guess it means a sworn statement that says the card was lost?

Yes -- the USCIS Adjudicator's Field Manual has a "Sample Sworn Statement Regarding Missing Alien Registration Card" in its appendix. Unfortunately, it's redacted from the version of the manual that USCIS has online. I'm not sure where else you would find it short of buying the Manual from the AILA bookstore or finding a lawyer with a copy . . . .

After all that stress I got my oath letter today, for July 24 :)

updated the list and also made some othe missing updates, hope all of them

I am scheduled for an interview on the 2nd week of August (NJ). However, we did not extend our lease which expires july 31st. We are planning to go on a vacation to my country for about 6 months after my interview. In the meantime, my husband will be in jamaica to work on our rental house while my daughters and I stay in NY with my sis, until after my interview in Newark.

My question is how will this affect my application? I cannot extend for a month in this apartment beause a tenant is ready to move in next month.

Thank you very much for any advice.

I think it shouldnt matter after the interview. Your residency requirement should be met already and then you should be free to travel. I wouldnt volunteer the info on leaving the US for 6 months unless asked.

thanks very much for the input! i appreciate it. i was just thinking i might not be allowed to get the interview in newark, instead, they might transfer my papers to an ny DO should i move there... more delays, then...

NOA rec'd: 3/19/2009 (date 3/16/2009, priority 3/9/2009)

My ceremony was a small one, should be 25 people in total.

But there were 2 men didn't show up at the ceremony,

so only 23 people swore in to become new citizens.

The ceremony started at 8:30 and it ended at 9 AM.

It was very simple and short but it was on a local news channel.

The first time I saw myself on TV :lol:
