Can you believe this nonsense? I got this spam/fraud email (from a verizon address, no less) a couple of days ago (and reported it, of course). It just galls me to see someone actually trying to get away with this! The crappy grammar and punctuation ought to be enough of a red flag, but do people really fall for this junk?

I wonder if Jasman got that form.

Not that one but have received some scams against Bank of America, Chase and Citi. I just send the emails to their 'abuse' email box.

Was it a large payoff? Maybe they are hitting you up for interst  The congress supposedly passed a law to prevent credit card companies ripping off people with their 30% interest rates but I don't know if it happened or not.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I got phished once and I should know better. Got an email that looked exactly like the ones I got from WaMu, said the same kind of thing as above. I clicked the link and logged in (so I thought), then it asked for a ton of personal information. I started filling it in, then the warning bell finally went off and I noticed the link was an IP address, not wamu.com. D'oh! Called WaMu and turned off my web access. Had to change a lot of logins cause I compromised that p/w. And it was a good p/w too. :P

I've seen 200 such spam-phish emails on hotmail--so when I see something marked "urgent" from "Windows Hotmail Team", I just delete it immediately.

Also got about 5 from Chase on a now-defunct email (I did have a Circuit City card issued by them...) which could not take CC cards.

Its always good to turn those links into the banks. I did with both the B of A and Chase.

Plus several purporting to be from Paypal with some transaction (I quickly checked the debit and credit cards which I had registered, no such).
