Did you received a package from the consulate when you passed the interview? This is the package you'll need to bring with you when come into the USA. They will ask you for them and if they don't you should hand them to them when you arrive at the poe in front of the officers. Good Luck and God Bless.

You need the mysterious brown envelope (the one you aren't allowed to open), your passport with the visa in it, and the X-ray. Well, they say you need to bring the x-ray but I have yet to meet or read about anyone who actually had to hand it over at the POE.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

yes I had received a package from the consulate 2 days after my interview.... it is okay to leave my other documents? like my birth certificate, marriage certificate etc???? thanks... God bless you both Mari & Radu

I think my x-ray (CD) is inside the envelope from the consulate....

all in all to make it clear... the only thing I need to present at the POE are: PACKAGE & PASSPORT (with VISA)

one part of my mind saying that I need to bring ALL the docs I brought during my interview!!!! lol

Hi Lecy, you are right Passport with Visa (bring old passport if u have them also) + Package from embassy. My X-ray was separate from the package and i carry with me, but they dont want it apparently.

All the best with packing, and have a safe flight and smooth arrival! :star:

Yes I agree, bring everything with you as you may need it at a later stage in your life, and I would bring it in hand lugage so there is less chance of it getting lost, but you won't need to hand over anything other than the brown envelope and the passport at the POE.

Ok, please forgive me since were not even starting this process until next year. But, with a CR1 why do you need to bring the xrays? I thought that you do the medical in Montreal and you get the PR? Where does the Xray go to at that point?

once you get it back, they will never ask to see it again. i heard that rarely they will at POE but i know they didn't when my husband crossed. so i guess you can either frame it or toss it when you get to the US lol.

Probably I don't need to mention it, but don't put MBE(Misterious Brown Envelope) in your check-in luggage.

Carry MBE and Passport with you always until you hand off those to POE officer.

Never put it out of your sight. :whistle:

hi lecy question lng po.pwede ba gmitin noa2 sa medical?wala pa kc kmi nrereceive na letter

call the pldt number(1-909-101-7878) and ask them to email ur appointment letter like i did.. hahanapan ka talga ng appointment letter sa SLEC at USEM.
