i'm still waiting for NVC to receive my case and assign me a case number...i've been approved since 02/20/09 and still no dice...what the hell NVC....let's GO!!!!!!!!!!

And I thought they lost my file in the storm Ok, now I feel good to know that I am not alone..

I hope I have something soon, I am about reAdy fot the whole paperwork waiting for my wifes signed forms to get here in the mail I want my case number !!!

I've also done the same. Got most of the paperwork ready just waiting for the fools over at NVC to assign me a case number...if its not one thing its another...i just hope my file didn't get buried underneath newer approvals...who knows when ours will be process Dan & Juan

Let's pray the delays are due to snow storm and not bcoz our files getting buried somewhere where no man has gone before

Well I was given a case # on Tueday, but now I have to wait until ??? to know that the DS-3032 was generated. Everyday I call they say at least 4 weeks, but most people seem to file electronically the reply back within 5 days or less.

Whooo! Sent in my IV packet today so no more paperwork for me! Now I just have to wait for the case to be finished!!

hey guys, im starting to worry because the nvc recied my case on the 20th of february and i got my case number on the 24th. they said my AOS bill and DS-3032 was generated and sent on the 27th of february but i still havent recieved anything in the mail. they said they sent it to the benfeciary. arent they supposed to send the bill to me???its beena week and nothing in the mail. should i start to worry or just chill. i see seen vj's recieve the bill within few days since its generated....

I actually received my paperwork (AOS Fee and a copy of the DS-3032) before my wife, received, hers, actually she still has not received her packet (DS-3032) yet. Once I received my packet, we emailed NVC the information in which they just accepted (DS-3032) and I paid the AOS Fee online, but only after I received my paperwork (petitioner). The package the petitioner receives tells you how to pay online but emailing the info in regards to the DS-3032 I got from the Le Ching (whatever it's called) method, which really works. You should start gathering your documents you'd need to send with your AOS package and DS-230 package while you wait on your petitioner package, this will only shorten the time you spend looking for the documents you'd need to get through NVC, once you get each package, all you have to do is fill out the forms and attach your documents and mail it off rather than waiting on everything. Start requesting your tax transcripts and letter of employment now. Good luck to you.

Well...It took a while for us..don't panic...Although it is easy for me to say don't panic but if it is lost what can u do? Nothing...Just wait and chill...keep looking at ur mail box....By the way...I am the beneficiary from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I never got any posts sent by NVC...Seems like Choice of Agent form and IV instruction packet are lost...It is been 6 weeks I have not got anything so far..Good thing is, u never have to wait as soon as u get ur AOS bill containing the IIN (Invoice Identification Number)...That is the most important...

Ok I called Automated System tonight because i was going to wait until the weekend to make sure it was not busy, and then there was a change from "we have no record of your case" to On March 5, 2009 your case was entered in our system and the case number is GUZxxxxxxxxxx

Wooo I know it is a little thing but I love the fact that it is entered. I am using a local only one person runs the whole office attorney who is telling me to be patient. The AVR indicated that "lawyer" would be receiving the paperwork in 6-8 weeks (boo).

I called NVC again because I wanted to ask a couple questions. First did I have to fill out any kind of DS-3032 if the lawyer already was listed as the contact person? answer was no I did not have to do that form it was already established, next I asked hey wasn't I supposed to get another number which is an invoice ID number? answer no that will be on what we mail you. I tried but no luck oh well! The lady on the phone was very pleasant and helpful, unlike my other experience with an operator. I was in a good mood after my call

So I had my wife run around and get the documents had to wait in lines and pay fees and then we got forms filled out and signed and then she mailed them all to me so hopefully we are ready to go on her end.

I have not filled in any forms yet for me, I have been gathering documents, work stuff, I have all my old tax info, but since I am going to be filing married jointly taxes I am waiting for my wife's package to arrive with the signed W-7 form.

So I am ready to have this all together, and already have been asking my wife to do more homework for medical and interview (it's hard enough she has to give up her whole life in China as a teacher and leave her family and friends but NOW I am asking her to go and wait in more bureaucratic lines, pay fees, and get these documents poor thing)

I have been wondering as a personal note if a lawyer is necessary for most people, and since I am doing all this leg work is it worth it? Well again my lawyer is a woman who does everything herself, with personal attention, not some clerk , and I tell you what she does is pretty slick so I am glad to have piece of mind. I am paying her about what my annual pass to disney world and a trip costs so I can give up that for piece of mind and being able to enjoy Disney with my honey in the future (I told her she has to accept the fact that a 45 year old man is obsessed with Mickey mouse)

So to those who have sped through NVC congratulations and to those with me or behind me let's think positive and make sure you say I love you to your spouse and blow them a kiss!
