Aside from the BS, I love my wife, that is why we are together.....

My ex-wife on the other hand............I won't use the word "hate", but the following terms apply:

aversion, loathing, abhorrence, displeasure, disinclination, distaste, disgust, repugnance, antipathy, animosity. And that type thing...

my husband works with guys like that, its so wrong!

This one guy talks about how he gets home at one in the morning and talks about how he wakes up his wife and says, "B!tch, go make me some food!"

Whether or not he's just trying to sound "cool", its just so wrong!

I work with mostly men and they all have one thing in common. They all seem to hate their wives.Even my boss walks around all night saying how his "wife is a treasure, and should be buried." I really don't understand this attitude.

maybe it's because their wife refuses to sign this:

Both men and woman complain to their friends (or coworkers) about situations involving their spouse. Usually it doesn't mean a whole lot. Sometimes it does, but in those cases, there are worse problems than this.

I think half the reason we here tend to be excited about our SO is because we rarely get to see them. Even if the entire immigration process is complete, we're still in the "novelty of being around each other" phase. That doesn't mean we'll love each other less as we spend more time together. It simply suggests that whatever issues exist may become more readily apparent as the years go on.

Most Americans marry Americans while most Canadians marry Canadians and so on. It's somewhat unusual for people to start a relationship with another person outside their country and continue it to marriage. If it weren't, we'd have less people asking us stupid questions about immigration. ;)

ohhh meeeeen!!....... :jest:

to the OP: maybe its lack of maintenance (whatever :P ).....e.g. life becomes too comfortable for the couple and the word "effort" has died over the years....so he/she thought and sees the SO differently now such as nothing is extra ordinary anymore...hence hating lurks and yet no one leaves  .........thats why it has been said that continuous nurturing of the relationship come white and gray is essential. ok, easier said than done. The reason I have to b!tch about my wife at work is because when I bring it up with her, it only causes problems. She just can't empathize.

I feel it is senseless to b!tch to anyone that can't do anything to rectify the situation.

Depending on the person, may have several replies:

How can I help?

What the ** can I do about it.

Ever think it's your fault?

Quit your fvcking b!tching, I have work to do.

Oh you poor dear.

Sick of you constant complaining, you are fired.

Why do some people hate their SO's ?

Must have married one that didn't fit just quite right. Like a pair of shoes that are too tight, makes a normally good person b!tch.

Basically. I know a lot of people who should not be married to each other but stay married because they don't want a costly divorce, or they don't think they can do better, or they believe in marriage even when it makes no sense.
