I didnt think they were major discrepancies, just not sure what to make of it....... Is it a good thing when they take your I-94?

If they took your I-94, that is usually a good sign honestly. I think you will get approved no questions asked. Why did you have to go for a 2nd interview and do you mind sharing your 1st interview experience on why it lead to a 2nd one? Also how long did it take for you to hear something back from USCIS after your 1st interview? I had my interview 14 days ago and havent heard anything about my decision, so I am starting to worry. Thank you in advance and good luck to you and be on the lookout for your green card.

Well thank you for the well wishes, we didnt hear from USCIS after the interview until after 6 months when we contatced the congressman. Well i am in Baltimore and that office seems to be very backed up and generally disorganized. They never told us why they called us a for a second interview.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

6 months holy ####### that sucks my friend and sorry you had to endure that kind of pain and waiting on your process totally not fair at all. So your congressman got the details of your case and thats when you found out you had to go on a 2nd interview. I am still waiting on my decision of my interview that happened 15 days ago and still no word on it. I know my wait isnt near to what you had to wait on yours, but its frustrating. I think that is crappy you didnt even know why you were called in for a 2nd interview they should at least warn people and give them a reason why they are requesting you to come in for an 2nd interview. I think Cleveland is backed up and disorganized as well and what was your 1st interview experience like if you dont mind sharing. I do wish you luck my friend and I know you will get the approval.

Please tell us the QUESTIONS that you were asked in this second interview.

Hey TBoneTX do you have to go in for an 2nd interview? I read in your timeline you have had to go through way too much in this immigration process, and I did read in it that your finacee had an 4min interview and that she had to undergo a 2nd interview. Did she find out right on the spot or did it take a long time to find out about the 2nd interview? How is your process going and I also can see you had to make thousands of phone calls to get answers. I also want to know what kind of questions were asked at the 2nd interview. Good luck TBoneTX and I do hope at the end you will be victorious.

The interviews in TBone's timeline were at the consulate for the visa, not for the adjustment of status.

This statement is correct... and no one wants to repeat our consular experience. We filed for AOS on December 18; the papers were transferred to California; we're awaiting news. Thank you for asking, though! Edited by TBoneTX
