Old Navy has those little hats with the velcro closure. I use those on Allie so she can't pull it off.

@Nessa: Very cute pics, I love the shoes.

Okay, ladies ... just a word to the wise .... don't be like me ... back up your digital photos. A week ago, our computer broke. Dropped it off at Staples so they could retrieve the data from our hard drive. Today they called and they said the hard drive is busted and they can't get anything. They would have to ship it out and it would cost $1500 with no guarantee of data retrieval. I dropped it off at another computer place just to see what they can do, but I am not hopeful. I've backed up some photos, but honestly, not all and I kept telling myself that I need to do it, but I would get busy and forget. I am so upset that I probably have lost the majority of photos from Declan's birth until now :(

I wish I had done the same. Our laptop crashed and the same thing happened to me about 2 months ago. I kept procrastinating and now it hurts me to think I lost all those moments. I am so glad I posted some pics on facebook so I got an account at Walgreens and printed about 40 of them. I am relying on close friends and family who took pics of him to regain some of the memories...I know where you are coming from...

I periodically burn the photos to CD. I did it a DAY before my husband had an accident with the computer. We got lucky!

Ok...so I put up our tree and decked it out with lights and ribbon. I wasn't quite brave enough to put up ornaments yet because I knew it would be a baby magnet. Sure enough. When we got home last night, Zak was right there pulling the lights and hitting the branches because he wanted to see the lights move. I hope I get to put some ornaments up this year!

We put our Christmas tree on top of a coffee table (we have high ceilings) - it is probably 3 feet from the lowest branch. Enzo just looks at it with awe especially when it is lit up. :star:

We had a scare recently. I have it all burned on DVDs, but for some reason this Vista burning program is odd and DVDs can only be read on a Vista computer. So suddenly the computer didn't turn on again! I feared the worst - but it was just the graphics card that was shot. We immediately signed up for Carbonite. it is an online backup service, I like that better than an external drive cause that can break too!!!!

Autumn, I haven't heard yet from my group, but I'll ask the head lady, she knows a lot and prolly can recommend someone in your area.

We always print the best pictures, we have three full albums already what we don't have is any video of Sofia, well, just the ones I make using the digital camera but you know what I'm talking about and the thing is that we do have a video camera :bonk: .

Sofia hates hats too and we did buy a few winter hats from old navy.

Girls I need your advice, I bought some protectors for the crib 'cause Sofia keeps bitting and bitting it but there is one side that I cannot protect, what can I use to cover it?? I was thining about masking tape or something but knowing her she will bite it anyway

Yikes, good reminder. Going to do a backup today!

I'm happy to report that we have made progress on the bottle issue. I'm using the drop in bottles with the latex orthodontic nipples (I haven't seen these in stores, had to order them online), and they seem to be working much better. Last two times he drank 1.5 oz, yay!

Saludos,

Caro

@ Vi: Buy a BPA and phtalate free crib teether as you already have and cut it into the appropriate size (file the edges down). We didn't cover the side parts and he did his share of biting, which we are ok with. It's just what happens yk? Once we have all kids out of the crib it will be bitten down like crazy I bet.... :)

@ autumn: I'm still getting different answers, but the best I have heard so far is magnetic clay baths:

http://www.magneticclay.com/?gclid=COioy_3...CFRxJagod7xJL-w

ALso, one girl in the group had her house tested and it came back lead free, then they tested all the toys and the Graco Baby Einstein play pen was totally lead-diseases, so to speak. They tossed it and started the clay bath and within 3 months her daughters levels went down to 3 (from a 8). Hope that helps!

Anna - How did the test work? What I liked about the Homex ones ... it was a little vial you broke and then rubbed the end of the swab on the item. If it turned red, lead was present. However, the store has sold out of them and I want to order more. Since I am doing an online order, I can choose any brand.
