to the OP...im sorry this happened. And it prolly was a scam, only God himself really knows the intentions of this man.

and dont worry what others have to say, the ones who attack you for posting this, will be the first ones to start a thread about their failed marriages as well....wanting support. it wouldnt be the first time.

I wouldnt however yell for others to watch out, ppl can be offended by that, especially if they do have a good marriage with a MENA man....we all know that it could happen to any of us....its good that you vented tho.

I hope things work out for you ...hugs!

Here's something to make you all think about getting scammed or not: http://marriagepartner.com/forum/

Do a search on the foreign marriages...it will scare you.

I tried the link out of curiosity and can't get it to pull anything up.

Be glad that you didn't. Unless you like reading posts from men justifying porn and how it's normal for a married man to want to bone every woman on the planet earth and that it's in their nature. How depressing.

OT, but I just want to hug that baby!

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Stephanie - I'm so sorry to hear this - may you find a soft place to fall real soon. ((((((((Stephanie))))))) I realize it might be hard to share, but if you'd be so kind to share your story it might help some others to understand what you went through.

And to anyone else out there who wants to ####### on her or her story and not believe her, she's not a troll/not trying to stir up anything on the MENA board...she's been on VJ since 2004 and she came back to let you all know what she went through, same with Wendy aka Heartland, too. They've been there, done that, and have the USCIS T-shirt to prove it. There are many women and men who experience marriage fraud, yet they are just too ashamed to come back to VJ to say what happened to them - for those that do, bless them for being forthcoming and baring their soul. It takes a big person to say that they were conned or scammed, and it takes a very little person to bash their head in and crush their heart and spirit when they feel like they can trust this board to share.

Many of you are soooo new to this whole process - you've been married or dating your spouse for a year or two, without living and I mean living day in day out with them - just waiting for a visa. Getting the visa is the easiest part of this whole journey - (for those like Brni, M4E, Kiya, etc - you all are the exception and my heart goes out to you for what you've gone through.):star: You do not know what they are like fully until they are here on your soil, living with you, and working through day to day life. When you have enjoyed that opportunity and begin to understand what all of this entails, you will appreciate where certain people are coming from. I wish that every person entering into a USC/foreign marriage had the most honest of intentions, but they do not...that is why there are high-fraud consulates, and sadly, this board, the MENA board, is made up of the bulk of them.

thanks for the thought including me in such good company, but in reality this could happen to anyone on here, and at anytime. People can change wether in a international marriage or you marry the boy next door

Brni - I included you in that statement as it took forever and a day to get the visa - not anything else to do with Stephanie's original post. Just wanted to clarify.

I got the site Staashi....I guess I can just say...uhhhhhh I'm in shock at the outright comments

Yeah, made my head spin how blatant some stuff is.

I almost felt dirty reading it!

I wonder how many people do get responses in the ones that say, will pay for marriage and documents to the US? I don't think there is any amount in the world somebody could pay me to do ####### like that. I guess I had my daily dose of unbelievability.

attacking a member is against the TOS....

attacking someone in pain bc of their broken marriage, is tasteless

If you have nothing supportive to say, and your only planning to kick a person when they are this down, do the board a favor and dont say anything at all.

Also, a forum tip....if you dont like the topic, dont open it.
