We made an account at the uscis website for updates on the status of our case.....guess what, I try to insert the Application Receipt number and its not going!!

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

Customer Portfolio Insert Failed

Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the app receipt number.

I used the receipt number from my I 797C Notice of Action in the left upper corner...what did we do wrong? Is something wrong with the case?

Lately it's been taking a 'while' for cases to show up on the USCIS site. Doesn't affect processing - just an annoyance.

me too i put the receipt number when i get the NOA1 but it said to me error

Yeah its def annoying! But i heard ppl that couldn't check their status online, but with the account it worked....not by us:( Its frustrating how slow they are at Vermont! In CSC ppl got approved that filed in November! Ridiculous waiting times...

We have the same problem. I called them and they told me there was a glitch in the system, and our case might or might not show up online eventually. Very annoying. Has yours shown up by now? Ours hasn't, and we filed mid-January. Even though I hear it doesn't affect processing, it makes me slightly uneasy...

It is one fof the failings of our government that OUR tax money continues to be wasted on this system, it is of absolutely no use, please do not waste your time with. It will frustrate you and it will give the USCIS an excuse to keep the system (and our money) in their budget "look, 14 million Americans make use of this system every year...we need MORE money for it"

Our I-129f petition is listed as "received and pending". My wife has her green card.

Good thing, this useless system has no effect on processing you case, like I said, my wife got apporoved, had her interview, arrived, we got married, she has her green card. I expect the system to catch up long about the time we remove conditions, maybe. We never got any email notifications. It is, basically a waste of time.

Anyway, plug your NOA1 date into your timeline at this site and you will get an anticipated adjudication date much more accurate than anything you will ever get, by any method, from USCIS

Where are you calling? I am calling 1-800-375-5283, and there is no way to get to an actual person. I enter my case number it isn't found, and it telss me to do it again or hand up.

How do you get an actual person on the phone?

there system is probably back logged or something, keep trying or forget about it, that website doesn't provide any useful information anyway...
