I have a question about tax forms. My wife, USC, and her parents, who are sponsors, filled I-864 forms and prepared all tax info back in november. We are getting to the point soon when it will be time to send the AOS package. Do you think they gonna complain that all documents are two month old?

Hi all,

I just got the NOA2 on 1/29/2009. I am new to the NVC process.

During the NVC processing, after DS-3032 form is completed, do you also need to send in the DS-230

form part 1 and part 2 to NVC?

I thought the benificiary needs to bring the form to the consulate abroad during the interview time.

Thanks.

Steve

No. Once your package is scanned and loaded by NVC, and you get an NVC case number, then the DS-3032 will be generated. You pay for it when the AOS bill is generated and mail the AOS package. After that, the IV bill will be generated. Only tnen do you send the DS-230 and all docs (do NOT sign part 2 of DS-230).

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Still leawrning it myself.

part 2 of the DS230 needs to be signed part 4 is left blank because you will sign that in front of the CO at the interview. do not send the DS230 package until it shows payed on the bill status.

Hi all,

We still haven't receive the AOS package and no luck to get IIN to the operator. Our DS-3032 still not accepted..WE are planning to send the AOS fee through mail, if we are going to pay in mail can we check it online after we get IIN that AOS shows PAID? or at NVC operator to confirm/?

I think that if you mail it in you might need to check with an operator. However, if you do have your IIN number you can always log into the online payment page and see what it says.

Okay, I must've misunderstood something. We can send the DS-3032 now even before it's generated. We just need the NVC case number, right? Then when they do generate the DS-3032 our e-mail version will be immediately accepted and the AOS fee bill generated.

Would we still have to snail mail the DS-3032 anyway?

Hubby's calling NVC now. Wish us luck!

They accepted the email from 01/30 yay (and it hadn't been generated yet)

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions before the instruction packet will be sent.
