No more TV!

12 noon today most all TV stations in Hawaii went from analog to digital!

Unless you purchased a converter box or have a digital TV people that need antennas to get their signal don't have TV as of 12 noon today.

I think the whole thing is a rip off.

They MAKE you buy a box or a digital TV if you still want to watch. The box is just one more thing that can go bellyup and you'll have to pay to get fixed!

You can also pay and sign up for cable or satellite.

UGh, I'm so sick of hearing about that stupid change. I'm just waiting for it to be over! It will be funny to see all the people in best buy complaining because they didn't listen to the announcements for the last 2.5 years.

I have been living with digital cable with analog outputs, but digital is smack there in the middle, and when it screws up, it screws up bad, microprocessor is so screwed up, it doesn't know if it's coming or going. Watched a movie the other night, completely screwed up in the last two minutes, really got teed off. Just switched off the box and went to bed. No fading nor ghosts permitted with digital. Also takes a longer time to scan, processor has to figure out what's going on before it can do anything. Oh, when you call the cable company, they tell you to reboot, they learned that from MS.

And Obama wants to delay it for 6 months more here on the mainland because he feels America isn't ready yet? More pandering to the lowest common denominator. After 8 years of Bush we have this to look forward to? God help us!

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

My dad told me that they had to draw a picture in school on how they imagined the world looked in the year 2000. He said almost everybody drew flying cars and people in silver suits flying through the air. Here we are in 2009 and we're only going digital :lol:

just get a digital tv ,,there so cheap now ..good luck

Analog TVs are a LOT cheaper. They can still sell them until they run out!

I guess they aren't making them anymore!

Government gives you a $40 coupon to purchase the box. They ran out and you can't get any for awhile.

Wonder how much this cost the tax payer?

I cant even give my 1000 dollar 36" Sony analog away. Even the illegals here dont want it.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.
