Well, heres my funny joke for the day.

A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband.

Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

'Careful,' he said, 'CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my gosh! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my gosh! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful. CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the! salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!'

The wife stared at him.

'What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?'

The husband calmly replied, 'I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.'

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

This was one of the headlines on yahoo news - shocking cold wave drops temps to 40 below - ah yes, reporting from Minnesota. I gotta say, we're a hardy lot up here. I laughed at this (no disrespect intended for anyone living further south), but single digits are the norm here, and temps in the teens are a heat wave!

Thermometers read single digits early in the day as far south as Kansas and Missouri, where some areas warmed only into the teens by midday.

Even my desert born and bred egyptian husband commented this weekend when the temperature hit the teens, "Why didn't you tell me it was going to be warm today? We should have gone for a walk or something. Tell me next time it's nice out!" He's becoming a minnesotan even if he doesn't realize it :lol:

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

I'd take 29 anyday over -15.

ok so first i get the worst cold i've ever had.

then i get a sinus infection so i go to the doctor.

doctor gives me this antibiotic that makes me go to the bathroom 7 times/hour

doctor gives me new antibiotic that makes me nauseous 24/7

now my freakin' tongue is twice it's size with red hives on it so i take a benadryl

i drink tea to wake up because i have things to do and just took benadryl

tea kicks in and i go to the bathroom and it overflows and almost goes out into the hallway
