You can tell because their backs are moist.

Not cool, dude, not cool at all. You know there are some people on here that are married to previous illegals. I being one of them. I don't appreciate this statement at all. Could you generalize any more? Just because they came here illegally doesn't mean they have "wet" backs. Jerk!

You can tell because their backs are moist.

 ?

Marilyn, I always knew there was a reason I didn't like you. That response to that statement right there just proves to me why. The first smiley you used was appropriate. The second one, however, not so much. I honestly can't believe you even hinted at thinking that statement was funny.

so you married a felony criminal who had not yet been adjudicated with the full knowledge of his unresolved criminal status, and now want us to be "sensitive" to your condition?

yeah, i would do that. not.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

justashooter - Are you completely divorced from your emotions in your own marriage, or are you just incapable of appreciating it in others?

Illegal status doesn't make someone a criminal, it doesn't make them any less of a human being - nor is it written anywhere that a person isn't allowed to be in love with, or have a relationship with someone in a bad situation.

As to the "moist back" comment - I think there's a tad of oversensitivity going on. I'm aware of the term behind, but I didn't read that statement as a serious or malicious attempt to be racist.

To be fair, it seems mox was being very sarcastic as his view does not seem to be "I hate illegals"-- he was writing a rude stereotype on purpose. But sometimes sarcasm doesn't go well, especially if someone is unclear about another member's views. Marilyn was just laughing b/c she knew he was being dumb on purpose.

Does anyone honestly think she'd laugh at a serious diss on a certain group of people? I don't.

I agree. Any discussion about illegal immigration will always end up in somebody getting called "stupid" or "haters".

Maybe you should get your facts straight before you start spewing nonsense. Being here illegally isn't a felony. If it was they wouldn't have waivers to do away with the illegal time spent here. I don't care if you're "sensitive" to my situation or not. If you aren't it just shows what a complete @sshole you really are. Doesn't make no difference to me. I'll go on living my wonderful existence, expecting my two babies, living with my more than wonderful once illegal husband whether you are "sensitive" to my situation or not. Funny how you think, and many others on here, think this board affects my real life. I could care less what you people think. It just gives me entertainment in my otherwise dull day at work.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

 I honestly don't know what wetback means... I had no idea it was a derogatory term...

It's slang (and yes derogatory) for illegal Mexican immigrants. So-called because they sometimes have to swim across the Rio Grande river that divides Mexico and the US.

yeah I kind of got that just now... last night I was exhausted and I didn't think about what it could mean.. I was sitting there staring at the word wondering what in the heck he meant by that...

And you would think, considering she's married to a Mexican-American, she'd know that. I don't believe that explanation at all. But, whatever. She always plays dumb when she ticks someone off. It's her passive aggressive style.

sorry booty I am not up on all the slang, I honestly had no idea what that meant.... I am really sorry if I offended you...

You shouldn't have to apologize. The comment wasn't meant to be mean-spirited, it was intended to be humorous. Context is everything.

See, that's the thing you're not getting. Context, schmontext, it's not a funny term, PERIOD! There are other derogatory terms out there too but I can guarantee you if I post one on here, I'm getting suspended or banned. No matter if I were trying to be funny or not. Geez, some people just don't get it.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
