Congratulations!! I'm starting to worry a bit because we had a "touch" yesterday and I thought for sure that would be the approval but as of right now I haven't received an email or an update to our status on-line. I'm really trying not to panic!

Lots of people get approval without the system ever emailing or updating. I've been religiously checking my mail every day, just incase! :)

Good point! I just saw those approvals that went through yesterday and it seemed like they all received an email. I should have known that mine would end up being one of the ones that wouldn't receive anything until the hard copy comes through snail mail. I'm just so scared of getting an RFE or something so I'm being paranoid. I must have checked over our paperwork a 1000 times before I mailed it in!

I hear you. If we end up getting an RFE after all this time, I'm going to tear my hair out...;)

I noticed one of you is from England...what part, if you don't mind my asking? Mark is from England, as well.

Still no word on the visa, no status update, no email. I'm praying our approval will be in the mail when I get home from work today!

My fiance Scott is from Manchester. Really a great city, I just went over to visit in March and had a fantastic time.

No way! Mark is in Huddersfield, which is like 45 min or so outside of Manchester. I'm going over May 10th-18th. It will be my first time going over.

Just keep checking that mailbox...it'll show up some day when you least expect it, and then you'll be able to celebrate...:)

Just thought I'd pop by and say hello...was reading a few posts and checked Igor's list which I haven't done in a while and looks like we're at #191 which seems like progress (though I can't remember where we were before...I get too stressed if I religiously look at this stuff!!).

Pretty fed up right now, trying to get my head round the stuff that I need to prepare for the actual K1 application and interview and having a bit of information overload!! Just want to be organised and have it all ready...

Can't believe it's only been just over 2 months since I saw my fiance, feels like an age (as usual)!! And not knowing when the next time will be isn't sitting very well right now with either of us. Also dealing with packing and storing all my stuff ahead of a house move. Going to be living in a tiny room for the indefinite future (but no lease to sign which was the intention) until VSC decides to be kind to us finally!

Hope you are all doing okay and holding up... :star:

Oh, and I take it that's what you all mean when you say a touch??

Glad you can finally see your status online! Actually, when we say "touch" we are referring to the last updated date when you log into your USCIS account to check your status. I know my last updated date stayed at 01/08/2009 for almost the entire process but then one day I logged on and it said 04/16/2009 as the last updated date. 5 days later we got our approval email! It looks like you filed not too long after we did so keep checking for those touches and fingers crossed for a fast approval for you!

Thanks :) The last updated date is currently showing as today so I guess that does count as a 'touch' :)

I've had lot going on the last little while I really wasn't expecting to hear anything for a while longer so now feel entirely unprepared for the interview part, so better get my stuff together asap just in case! Eek

Don't worry, it'll all come together. This board has honestly been the only thing that has kept me straight. Read all the guides and even the embassy information on here. That's all I did for months and then when we finally got our approval we had a pretty good idea of what to expect next.
