Yes, Bush is teh suXor. Get over it already.

They won't. Not anytime soon, anyway.

When Obama does something good, they'll say: "Obama's the greatest! Look at him clean up after Bush!"

When Obama does something bad, they'll also say: "Obama's not to blame. He's had a hell of a time dealing with the mess Bush left him."

Amazing, isn't it? If one wanted to talk about psychological issues, the messianic ideals given Obama would definitely qualify.

 you hit the nail on the head.

Hit the nail on the head? I hardly think so. The whole "Obama is a Messiah" angle is nothing more than a feeble attempt to take attention away from the fact that Bush is an awful president and his decisions will be felt long after he leaves office. I love how the right wingers still blame Clinton for everything, yet take zero responsibility for Bush's antics.

Well it isn't totally wrong - I think that there is a lot of expectation on the Obama presidency (which I think is due, at least in a part, to the awfulness of the Bush years) and that he will have a fairly easy ride for the first few years, if not the whole first term when it comes to mistakes and missteps.

Simply put - it takes a while for disillusionment to set in.

Thank you Mox...

Thanks for a voice of fairness and reason. Obama will not get a pass from me either. I will try to be fair with both praise and criticism...even though I did not vote for him. I hope others will feel the same way.

Haven't seen any praise of Bush for anything. Not for his AIDS initiatives in Africa or

protecting the nation from further terrorist attacks. Liberals are allergic to any praise

of Bush, even when it's due.

Well its like this - Bush's many mistakes largely outweigh his positive contributions.

There can be a nugget of gold in every #######, but trying to find them...

Exactly... not even the worst Presidents were bad 100% of the time, but Bush's mistakes were numerous & significant. Two things that will always haunt Bush are the decison to invade Iraq & being asleep at the wheel while the economy crashed. If Bush didn't invade Iraq & took some proactive measures to safeguard the economy (and the crash wasn't all his fault, but ultimately the President has to take responsibility) he would probably be considered an average or slightly below average President. Right wingers will defend Bush's decisions and/or call anyone who questions them a liberal and/or say that history will regard his actions more favorably, but as far as I'm concerned these arguments are not supported by fact.

Problem with these type of far left threads is, they are so often filled with lies or misleading info that when I read the first BS submission I move-on and discount it all.

The very first link I clicked on was evidence.

example:

<<<<Bush's posturing as a war hero was, of course, laughable. During the Vietnam War, Bush used his family connections to obtain a gentleman draft dodger's assignment>>>

when you click on the link to prove the family connection that got him in the Guard you read this.

<<<<Bush had scored only 25 percent on a "pilot aptitude" test, the lowest acceptable grade. But his father was then a congressman from Houston, and the commanders of the Texas Guard clearly had an appreciation of politics.>>>

Where is there any proof Bush got special treatment.

I'm sure they had Other "yale" graduates lined up at the recruiting door.

=====================

Other things aside,

I know one thing Ole Bush must have done pretty good; proved Government is the answer to our problems.

Not only did he help grow the Hell out of the federal Government but he managed it so well that

People actually think "Government works!

we have even more people than ever, clammering for More govt.

Whala... Barack.

Yea right wingers claim that Obama is treated favorably by the media & guess what... they are right. However it's kind of like a parent (the media) who favors a child (Obama) who gets straight A's in school while their other kid (Bush) gets D'd and F's, starts fights for no reason & is a general screw up. Can you really blame the parent or should the screw up clean up his act?

Yup it's those darn liberals again!! Never mind that John Kerry served in Vietnam & the Republicans smeared his record, while Bush hid out in the Texas Air Guard during the war (grab a Websters and look up hypocrite). Being a military officer and having served in Iraq and Bosnia, I am disgusted by the fact that Karl Rove and his minions dragged Kerry's record thru the mud (I was also disgusted when certain individuals took shots at McCain's record too, btw). These types of attacks have no place in politics & anyone that condones them is a piece of fecal matter.

Or yes... we can put it into valued absolutes... anything done to correct the previous administrations' flops can be considered 'good' at face value.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Apparently, Charles does not want to talk about it. No surprises there.

A good parent is supposed to love their children, regardless of what they do or how they act. We would have very little tolerance for a parent that purposefully acted negatively towards their child, so why does the media (the parent) get a free ride when showing obvious favoritism towards one child (Obama) over the other (Bush)?

I have always said this was a good thing and been happy Bush did this.

Whala...

Danno, are you saying "waaaa" like whining or "voila" like "poof there he is"?

And for whomever made the comments about NCLB (mox?) I agree wholeheartedly. Total disaster that was!

I disagree... maybe not a totally accurate analogy, but not a bad one. The media is everyone's punching bag, especially the right. The problem is that the media is right more than they are wrong & generally when someone screws up the media bashing is just a form of denial. As for Bush the media & 70% of the American population are hard on him because he's an awful President... it has very little to do with bias.
