I had to reschedule a biometrics appointment a few years ago. I got the rescheduled appointment letter about 30 days after I notified them and it was for 2 weeks later. Have you called to request the reschedule yet? You could also try doing a walk in appointment bringing your letter and telling them you were detained by the weather. Others have done this successfully, usually on a Wednesday or a Saturday.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

We just got our biometrics appointment letter last week, and of course the date it was scheduled for is one of the days we are going to be away for our honeymoon! (So my luck!) Our appointment is at the Rhode Island Office, and in my research it seems as if they do not accept walk ins, so we mailed back the notice to reschedule. I mailed back the notice on 12/22 and the Rhode Island Office received it on 12/23. We have not heard anything yet, but I am hoping it will not take the 30 days.

If you do not hear and the delay is not long after the first appointment, I would simply go in.... Most ASC's do not accept walk-ins for biometrics BEFORE the schedule date, but will if it is AFTER the scheduled date... My wife did hers two days after schedule without a new appointment....

YMMV
