What? A Touch?

Well, after almost 9 months since the NOA-1's, and 8 months since the first touches, I just checked USCIS' website again about 10 minutes ago (for the like the 4th time today), and it showed a touch with today's date on both the I-129F anf I-130. No approval, just a touch - but that alone nearly sent me into heart failure.

I guess it would be wrong to have a drink over simply this event

:waiting for the happy dance que soon:

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

CJ, you're still gonna come with us to VSC though, right??? We need someone to help us blackmail VSC into early approvals for Lisa and I!!!

I know you all really believe the Service Centers are staffed by a bunch of heartless individuals, but in the past it has not been uncommon for them to issue some Christmas gifts. Often quite a lot of them.

It really is just humans working on these files. I don't believe they are slackers or heartless. Maybe the proof will come this week.

Well if they're anything like other government run agencies (my experience being in government hospitals) then

Is that some kind of defense? It's the process not the people that work there.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

I think he's wondering why you always jump to the defence of VSC everytime we complain about it. If you're gonna defend them against all our complaints, you're going to have to stay here in the K-3 forum 24/7.

I agree with you. I know you will step on my head over this, but I would still like to know why a K-1 at CSC get's approved in 30 days, and a K-3 at Vermont takes 8 months or more. The people that work there are probably not slackers, but the people that run the place have issues. It's all about fairness. Unfortunately, USCIS does not have any clue when it comes to that. Once again.... 30 days vs. 8 months.
