Why is NOA taking so long

I sent my aos,ead and ap forms on the 23rd, tey were delivered to chicago on the 30th. It is now the 7th of june and still the cheques havent been cashed. I have checked lots of peoples timelines and it seems to be taking only a few days before cheques are cashed.

Should i call the uscis service centre? I am worried because we sent over 700 dollars in cheques. We triple checked everyhting before we sent off the foms and we made copies of everything Why is it taking longer for me when alot of people seemed to have to taken only a few days to have their cheques cashed.

I think there's nothing you can do other than waiting because if you call uscis, they will tell you wait 30 days and call them back. Did you use certified mail or signature mail? if so and you know someone at chicago signed it then i think you don't have to worry about that maybe it takes time however if you just used regular mail... you might want to call USCIS...

I used money order, so I couldn't check it I never got my NOA and I got my biometrics a month later.

I sent it through registered mail.Its just frustrating thats all. I arrived here in march and money is getting a bit tight so i need to work.

I see in another thread that someone who sent their AOS forms off a day before me got their checks cashed this morning.I checked online and still nothing.Sorry for bitching but its really frustrating.

Cheques were cashed for AP and AOS yesterday but not EAD. Is this normal? We have enough money in the a/c.

Even if your checks are cashed and you get the NOA you are still looking at 90 days wait for EAD you may even have your interview before the EAD arrives.... this is happening more and more...

You just need to be patient and try to relax....

Hello All, I am still new to the process and everyday I look forward to learning something new by being on this website.

I see here that some of you have filed the I-485, I-765, and the I-131, all at the same time, is there a specific time to file those forms?

Does it matter if you are appliying for k-3, or k-1, we are filing k-3. I have mailed the I-130 and have have only got the return reciept back. No NOA yet, can I download those previously mentioned forms now, or would I make it worse for myself?

These are forms that I file for my husband right? before or after filing the I-129?

I know someone has prob asked the same question before, so sorry about that. Is there a way you can search for a particular topic?
