I just got the copies of my checks for the I-130 for my daughter and her mother, but the EAC

number stamped on the back does not match (it is the preceeding number) and our daughter's

check is not stamped with an EAC number at all. I read of someone here who had this happen before

but they did not answer as to what they did about it. Maybe this is why there was no touch to her

petition when Tanias was touched 10-5

Cannot seem to get a breathing voice on the phone even though I have listened to the recording

endlessly. Can someone help?

Trying to avert something small becoming something big.

Thanks

You can't always rely on what gets (or doesn't) printed on the back of your check. May just have to wait for the NOA to get the actual case/receipt number(s).

I have the NOA1 for all of them.

That is how I know the EAC number is not the same.

any idea how I can get a real person on phone? Tired of the round and round

with the recording.

To make you feel better our I-129F receipt number on the back of the check matched up with a rejected "Notice of Appeal to Commissioner" even though the NOA1 receipt number (which was different) was the one that corresponded to our particular case. Imagine the stress I was feeling when I put that number from the back of the check in the system to check our case.

The check is not your receipt, the NOA1 is. Make sure the information on the NOA1 is correct and that will be the reference number for your case. I think they slap anything they need to slap on the back of the check to get it cashed (how fast would the process be if they used that same lightening speed to process petitions) lol

If you feel you really must talk to a live person on the misinformation line then use the "I think my notice may have an error" option which will eventually transfer you to an agency drone. By all means cover your head with tinfoil first. Talking to a mininformation drone on the USCIS customer dis-service line sucks the will to live right out of your brain.

i don't get it.

Good catch. A single I-130 would be for the spouse. The daughter will eventually need her own and I recommend filing them together. If you haven't, there will be no chance for a CR2 visa for the daughter and you'll be stuck with the K3/K4 route.
