STUCK @ NVC for AP

Aaaaaa.

I talked to NVC Monday evening, CET time...

I did a DHL search today. Something left NVC Tuesday afternoon and was received today. Zagreb, Croatia. Someone named Skrnjug signed for it.

Considering how many Croatians apply for a visa that has to go through NVC.... it could very well be ours.

Considering our luck, it's not ours.

Should I call or... should I not?

Aaaaaaaaaaa. Temptations. Grr.

go for it Badgerella, I hadn't known how to track the packages till cdneh posted the details on tuesday, so I tried it out and sure enough a package had gone to London on the Monday - I thought oh no it can't be mine so didn't ring till the next day and when I did was told it had gone 2 days before on the Monday (must have been after I rang on the the Monday). The very worst that can happen is you are told its still there and have wasted some more skype credit.

Have you ever heard of K3 getting in for an AP?

I think some of the earlier posters in the thread may have been k3 - you might want to have a look and see.

Wasn't our case.

Unless the person I talked to today couldn't understand at all what I was asking or saying. Why? Because they basically speak no English. Heh.

Still AP, said the mysterious foreigner.

Hi guys, youre pretty quiet today... I hope everyone is doing well.... My situation these days seem to be that the Embassy is taking longer than usual to allow you to set up an interview and sending the packets out even though theyve had our file for 12 days now. They've told several people that they are backlogged. Another wait, but at least we are almost there...

So how is everyone doing...any news today for the ones still under AP? Im gonna say it again, there is an end, pls hang in there..

We had two letters from NVC, both identical. The first was recieved on the 12th, and the second on the 16th. Both of them said that our case would be forwarded onto the appropriate foreign embassy 'within a week'. Has anybody who got stuck in AP had this letter, or do you get it at the end of the processing?

Just want to know if we're 'safe' from being stuck at NVC yet.

Sadly I think most of us who are or have been stuck in AP all received this letter. The only way to tell if you are stuck is to ring the helpline and ask if your case has been forwarded to the embassy yet.

Sorry you haven't had anything from the embassy yet Sweetjuly - hopefully its just a temporary post holiday back log and they'll pick up again soon

We got that letter (in mail) long before we had any and all ideas about this AP thing. I hope that's not happening to you, too. KimandRuss had two letters as well, as much as I understand. And then spent three weeks APing.

I really hope not  I had to ask since I remembered multiple letters being mentioned in this thread.

I haven't.. do you know if the beneficiary is allowed to call and ask?

don't think they would be an issue, as long has the beneficiary have the case number, beneficiary name and birthday and petitioner's name and birthday.

I'm the beneficiary and I've been calling from the beginning.

You need to have your case number ready, both the petitioner and beneficiary's date of birth and they'll probably ask you to verify something (they keep asking me the same thing). Some of them ask who you are, some don't.

I'll call tomorrow.. just out of curiousity, what did they ask you to verify? I'm just asking because I'm bad on the phone and want to be prepared.. names aren't a problem but I always get my dates screwed up
