I wouldn't stress too much. :) From what I've read on VJ most K-1s don't have to do an interview as long as they married within the 90 days. Not really any point to it...they just did the same interview to decide whether to issue the K-1 visa. Of course...logic isn't the US government's strong suit, but this one seems to hold true most of the time.

I thought the same thing, but somehow I ended up with an interview. I was kinda surprised, and we don't really have anything unusual about our case. Not that I wanted anyone to stress. It's all good! I'm not at all complaining. I'm extremely happy to have an interview ... things are progressing!!! (PS. I'm an October filing lurking on your December thread!)

No problem! I definitely appreciate lurkers who are farther along the process, they give good advice! I hadn't heard of any K-1 filers having interviews, so it's good to know that it's possible. Did you file for AOS before your K-1 expired? I wonder if that makes a difference.

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

We filed within the 90 days, too. It'll be interesting to see how it works out. I don't really care either way about the interview at this point. We have a bona fide relationship, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that and he isn't from a high risk country. I don't think they're too worried about you canucks. ;)

I think transfers to CSC are random and about half to slightly more than half of K visa holders who file for AOS get transferred (not sure exactly, it just seems like about half to me). Some people have another theory---that is, that it depends how backed up your local office is.

What are everyone's thoughts on the TB skin text requirement? We just mailed in our AOS package on the 3rd and now I am starting to get a little worried about this TB test. My husband had his fiancee visa medical exam in Jamaica in July, but as far as I can tell he was not given a TB skin test, he did have chest xrays but no skin test. I am pretty sure we are going to get an RFE for this as it is required for the AOS medical. Does anybody have any insight or experience with this?
