happy Thanksgiving all! our turkey is stuffed and in the oven; pumpkin pie is made, and we're on track to be ready on time

I'm on FB, but I don't like it much... too much going on in there; too many requests and groups and applications and stuff

ours went fine too

our turkey was to die for, and the STUFFING!!! SO good... I'll be making that again; I think I'll adapt it so we can have it in pasties or something... our pumpkin pie was just ok... I'm not a big fan anyway, but it was pretty ordinary by any measure

however! we had a huge lot of roast veg - potatoes and carrots and parsnips and turnips and beets and apple - which were great, and I made my fresh rolls again, and my mother-in-law brought round a magnum of champagne

so, all in all: a good day

looking forward to a good sleep now though

Ours was pretty quiet - we went to Jeremy's grandparents who are real sweethearts but I think I missed a younger crowd - not to mention that by about 4pm I just wanted to be in bed because I am still poorly

it's weird... I'm very internet savvy, usually, and don't generally find anything all that difficult to learn about and get used to... but I have not been able to get used to facebook

Happy Thanksgiving, a day after, everyone! Sounds like lots of you had a very nice holiday. We hosted and it was fun but exhausting. Scott helped me cook and do everything and that was great. I intended to eat around 5 but some of our friends showed up late and then when I thought I was about a half hour away I realized my oven was OFF! So we didn't sit down till about 8. Oh well. It was all quite yummy and now our fridge is stuffed to the max with leftovers. I'm going to need to freeze a bunch of it! Those of you who like recipes, I made this and it was really good:

I realize it's after the holiday but you could always do it next year, or for Christmas! I also made pumpkin creme brulee with my cute new kitchen torch and that was fun.

Thanks for all the congratulations I put up some pics on FB which brings up a question: Why don´t I have all of you in my contacts there? Cuz some of you aren´t on FB? Then the question is why I think Kai had enough of the stories of half presents for his birthday if he was born around Xmas so he decided a month and a bit early was appropriate enough to come out

You're right; my friends with birthdays around Christmas always get the short end of the deal as far as presents go! With his birthday beforehand, he'll be able to ask for stuff for his birthday, and then determine his Christmas gifts based on what birthday gifts he got. Haha, is that greedy? Oh well. I have often used my birthday as a way to determine who to get Christmas gifts for (besides the obvious people I always get them for); whoever got me a birthday gift gets a Christmas gift.

And I am not on Facebook. Probably one of the last people on earth not to be.

Yes there is lots to be thankful for We had a great time with the family and spent a lot of time in the hospital with Kai too. They don´t say when he is going home maybe cuz we don´t really ask. We asked at the beginning but got all sorts of different answers. I think they don´t know it right now and so any date they would have given us would just be an estimate and could be totally wrong. He doesn´t need any machine support or medicine or stuff like that. All he needs to do is eat and get bigger. And he eats a lot He is 5 pounds and graduated into big babies room So my estimate is that he can go home sometimes before Xmas which would be awesome We can put him in a Xmas stocking

First time I started using FB I didn´t like it much cuz everytime someone sent me some application thing I pressed accept and then the page was overloaded with a ton of stuff I didn´t really use and it took ages to scroll down the page etc. So then I wiped it clean and I don´t really put applications there anymore. Maybe you should do that STP

Don´t put stuffings in the bird It can soak up the birdie stuff (I mean the bad stuff) and in the middle it might not get cooked thoroughly and then you might have some health issues
