There shouldn't be an issue with sending originals as they are returned during the interview.

Originals or certified copies. Those are the two choices. Giterdone

You must send the Original, or you must obtain a copy from the issuing authority.

I had my husband obtain two of everything. He has (2) birth certificates, (2) police certificates, and (2) marriage certificates. Send the documents overnight to the NVC through USPS and you will receive signature verification.

The NVC does not accept copies of these items. There are a few posts on RFEs from people who had a copy notarized as an exact copy. Notarized copies are not accepted. You don't want to find this out the hard way.

Best of Luck!

mina saini,

Dont worry, you will get your orignal back at the time of interview. There is no other option either certified or orignal, but if I were you I would definitly send orignal.

Good luck!

You must send the originals (and the translated certified copies as well if you have not sent). The originals will be returned during the interview.

The ones that are certified by notaries or lawyers are not acceptable.

Don't take the chance.
