Hi there,

I just got this e-mail and was wondering if this means we are at NOA2??

Our lawyers sent the I129F to Nebraska in the first place so im a little worried if this just means we need to start the clock again?

Message starts:

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

On June 1, 2006, we transferred your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to an

office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has

jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon

as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you

that your case has been transferred to a local office.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case

status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or

advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please

contact the National Customer Service Center.

National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283.

*The projected processing time frame can be found on the receipt notice

that you received from the USCIS.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

No, this is because of IMBRA your case is being transfered to California. Your NOA2 I guess will come out of California now... either way this is not an approval they are just notifying you that your case is comin out West.

They have transfered your petition to California Service Center, 'cus I think they're making some changes in processing what where. I don't think it's related to IMBRA.

Grr that sucks... So do we have to start counting again or can we carry on from where we left off? We have already been waiting over 30 days for it. And we really dont want to have to start all over again.

I know that that im asking a lot but if its been moved over to there does that mean there is a problem with it or is this just a normal thing

Well I doubt that they had even looked at your case yet really, but I think they're gonna be doing a background check on you, the USC in California as well as approving your petition! I can't tell you how much more time until your NOA2 but I can tell you that the vibes out here in California have been pretty good so don't worry (as long as you are not a criminal or sex offender)

Good luck!!

On the form you're referencing, four blocks down on the right side and across from your name and address is a block or could be a block that reads: "Notice Type". It probably says "Receipt Notice" and that's what everyone calls the proverbial NOA1.

The form in the far upper right probably could be the I-767C, Notice of Action.

That was my NOA1.

The I-767, Notice of Action was my NOA2; it has the same format and different text.

On the NOA2 in the Notice Type Box it will read, assuming all is ok, "Approval Notice."

Also, FYI, above your Beneficiary's Name might be the Alien Number on the NOA2; I think some have had it on the NOA1. I'm not sure.

As far as the transferring to another SC, for whatever reason, dump the quest for "WHY"; it won't do you any good to get some kind of answer. Mine was transferred from the TSC to the CSC between the initial "receipt" and the going into the process at the CSC. It appears that the processing time was normal for no RFEs and also went through the NVC thereafter in a normal timeframe and is I believe just now being processed or the processing at the Embassy has started.

If all is ok with your app not taking into account what comes with the IMBRA, it should process in a typical timeframe -- unless there's other stuff like you read on VJ about petition problems and delays of all kinds.

Wishing you a speedy process!

I got the notice that mine was sent to California today as well.

On oe hand, at least now I know something is happening, on the other... weren't wait times for California astronomical to begin with?

ok u both from UK, are they only transfering Nebraska to Cali the UK petitioners? Cuz really it sucks as it is in Nebraska, Cali waiting is way worse i just hope it doesn't happen to us.

I got the same notice. Wonder how many they sent over. And looking at the time frame from NSC to CSC. I would think it will take a little longer being at the CSC.

:(

Guess that is just the way it goes.

But I agree with Larry and Maria. Most likely if you ask why they will give some silly reason.

Just crossing my fingers and hoping it will move along faster.
