what name to use in filing aos?

hi,

i am just waiting for my marriage certificate to be mailed and we will then file for aos. my question is that, should i use my maiden name or my married name in filing for my aos?

hope you can help me on this.

You use your married name if that is what you want to be known as and what you want on your Green Card. You can then put your maiden name under "other names used." Good luck!

I agree...it all depends on what name you want to use in a future. If you want to stay with your maiden name -put it in AOS documents. If you would rather be called your husband name and have it on every document you are going to apply for (EAD, GC, DL, SSN) ->then use your new, married name
