Never thought I'd come out in Mr. Eagleburger's defense but honestly, only someone that's been hitting the pipe would believe that Sarah Palin ever truly would be - let alone at this point is - ready for the White House. Don't attack the man for merely stating the obvious.

so you're saying obama thinks palin is ready?

I thought what I said is that McSame and his followers must be hitting the pipe.

you didn't say mccain (or your favorite moniker mcsame) in the above, just someone who's been hitting the pipe. and surely you know obama partook in the weed.

Oh, Chuck. Difficulties reading? I said that only someone that's been hitting the pipe would believe that Sarah would ever be ready for the White House. Now, McSame has said repeatedly that he believes she's ready, yes? As have most of his and her followers. Those are the folks on crack, my friend.

Does any serious politician doubt Ms Palin's political paucity? Which makes one wonder, does McCain believe his own rhetoric about her fitness for office and readyness or perhaps he thinks he's imortal? Would he dump Palin a short time after he was elected if he is in touch with reality? None of those scenarios put McCain in a particularly good light. The choice of Palin is his achiles heel it would seem.

Not at all Chuck. My writing is just fine. Let's focus on the important part here: Palin ain't ready. Not now, not later. She just doesn't have what it takes. Face it, she was McSame's worst mistake in this campaign.

Former Sen. Phil Gramm who was McCain’s senior economic adviser until July, 2008, of course since the entire sub prime mortgage crisis and the 2008 global economic crisis McCain had to dump him. McCain was all for more deregulations of derivatives trading. Now when this all comes out, McCain being the loyal friend, like he was to Keating, bails on them. Gramm was later critical to the passage of the Commodity futures Modernizations Act of 2000, which kept derivatives transaction, including those involving credit default swaps, free of government regulation. McCain figured that the America public would not put it all together, but now with the big economic crisis he knew he had to dump Gramm, who they say is a list of the 10 individuals most responsible for the current economic crisis. McCain not only knew what was going on, even put him in a key position in his campaign. If word had not gotten out he would have kept Gramm. McCain makes bad judgment calls, we can’t take that chance. What just blows my mind is that a lot of the public is unaware of McCain's connections with some of the people that are responsible for this crisis, and not only knew them wanted them on board with him. Gotta hand it to McCain he knows the American public. Now he has Palin for his running mate, nice job old man. :bonk:

I just saw Eagleburger in an interview. He's apologizing profusly for "having put my foot in my mouth" and says he's truly sorry if he's given the Obama camp any ammunition to use.

He says he was strictly talking in the context of Foreign Policy and stated that the same can be said of Obama and his experience level. He says Palin is a fast learner and would come up to speed in short order and can certainly handle the job, as either VP, or later as Pres.......

He went on over and over asking "where can anyone show me where BArack Obama has anything to do with foreign affairs and his statements have been contradictory and stupid throughout his campaign and I still say that there's no comparing a Presedential candidate to a VP candidate that knows even less than she does".

He finished up once again apologizing to the McCain "People"........

Hey, you can't blame the guy for saying what's intuitively obvious...Obama's even less qualified than Palin......

Palin is simply inadequate intellectually, the same most definitely can not be said of Obama. Still, you keep pretending to yourself that somehow Palin even comes close to Obama if you wish, that is your perogative.

I don't need anyone to tell me that - it's patently obvious.
