wow, I didn't think I would get this nervous at this point, but I've already cried twice tonight on my husbands shoulder and once on the phone to my mom. I am so nervous about this and I don't even really know why except that I know how screwed up immigration can get and we're now into this wholehearted....aka hubby quit his job, we sold our things, etc. etc. when he got the K3 visa, and we'd have no job/house/etc. left to go back to in Mexico. scary stuff, but I know God is faithful and His will will be done. I keep reminding myself of that. I am just soooo ready for this all to be over and for him to have his greencard. Thanks to anyone who bothers reading this rant/freak-out of mine and if anyone can spare a prayer for us, we'd really appreciate it :) Thanks so much! Hopefully we'll be able to post really great news here tomorrow!! God bless you

10/22 - I-485 Biometrics NOA received, appt 11/15
10/27 - Touched on both I-485 and I-765.
10/31 - I-765 Biometrics NOA dated 10/24. Appt on 11/29 at 12PM.
11/15 - Biometrics for I-485 and I-765 done on same day.
11/16 & 27 - Case "touched" on bcis.gov.
12/7 - EAD approval by e-mail. Card is on its way. Thank you Lord!!
12/12 - Received EAD.
1/9/06 - Applied for SSN. Received 1/17
3/30 - Got our AOS Interview notice!! Interview date 5/31
5/31/06 - Permanent residency granted! Passport stamped IR6. God is so faithful!

2/2/16 - Mailed in N-400 paperwork

2/10/16 - Received text that N-400 paperwork was received.

2/16/16 - Text that fingerprint appointment has been scheduled.

3/1/16 - Biometrics interview, Naperville, IL

3/11/16 - E-notice that case is in line for an interview

7/8/16 - Text/site updated that Interview date has been assigned

7/14/16 - Received letter dated 7/11 with interview date on 8/11
8/11/16 - Interview, given paper that said passed test but no decision can be made at this time.

10/18/16 - Received text, status online updated to say oath ceremony has been scheduled!!!!

Hey there,

I'm in the same situation. Our interview is tomorrow at 10:30 am.

And I'm by myself, my husband is flying from San Francisco tomorrow at 6 am...

He moved there first and I'm joining him end of June.

So that whole things adds to being so stressed...

And I also lost my EAD card and my new SS card...

:(

January 27, 2006 - RFE for medical received

February 13, 2006 - Medical received

February 15, 2006 - Biometrics appointment at 10 am

March 1, 2006 - AP touched

March 4, 2006 - AP received

March 8, 2006 - EAD received

March 29, 2006 - interview notice received - May 31, 2006

May 31, 2006 - Successful interview!!! Approved

June 12, 2006 - Green card received

Feb 28, 2008 - will be sending removal of conditions docs.

Our AOS interview was an early morning one too, 7 am also! I was very very nervous and didn't sleep much. But you will be so relieved to be done early in the morning and have the rest of the day to relax and celebrate. It's better than having to be nervous all day long before the interview I think!

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Thanks to both of you for your nice words - Stina you're definitely right about not having to wait all day - I wouldn't have made it I think. I'm off to bed now, and hopefully to sleep. We're up early, at least we're at a hotel only 2 blocks from the immigration building. Thanks again!

Thanks to all for your kind words! My husband’s AOS interview was a success yesterday! He should get his 10 year greencard in the mail in 2-6 weeks, and he can apply for citizenship in It was non-eventful for the most part, just as we’d hoped. For those of you who don’t know our story, my husband was given a removal order in 1999 and sent back to Mexico with a 5 year ban. Because of a slew of lawyers that were misinformed about Juarez approval rates (they said it was impossible to be approved), we did not file a waiver, and we waited out the 5 years, part living in separate countries until we couldn’t stand it anymore and I moved to Mexico to be with him until we were granted his K3 visa in Juarez last April after a nightmarish 2-day interview process.

For those of you looking for details about the interview process in Chicago or for someone adjusting status after a previous removal order (where they didn’t apply for a waiver), I’m working on a detailed account of our experience. I will try to post it today or tomorrow.
