I've had it!

I have been seperated from my love going on 2 years now and I refuse to wait any longer. At the end of this month(OCT.) my address will be Medellin Colombia! I will stay in Colombia until the immigration paperwork for my wife is finished! I have patiently waited and it continues to be an answer of only "wait a few months more"! If I had known this I could have been with my love 2 years ago! This is 2 years of lost time that we will never regain and I refuse to lose any more time away from her. I find this site has been very informative and I am thankful for that, because it has helped me keep my sanity and my patience until now. I miss my wife terribly and I am tired of being without her. I intend to rectify this as of October 30th.

Good luck and Peace to you all!

Thanks for the news flash.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

It's pretty fvcked up entirely that the government wants to make you prove who you're in love with and the hoops you have to jump through just to be with them here. I feel for you.

And even in this case, with it's level of incompetence, I agree with your decision. If the same were to happen to me, I'd be in Greece in a heartbeat and deal with whatever comes.

Either way, you get to be with your loved one and that's what matters most.

Good call. Besides being with your wife, you'll have a chance to live and, hopefully, work in a different culture. That opportunity enriched my life a lot, beyond have the chance to meet and be with the woman who is now my wife.

Good luck!

What's the hang up? US immigration or Colombia, also got tied up with Venezuela to complicate matters, but my wait was a year. Did learn with Colombia and Venezuela with the right attorneys, and a couple bucks in the right pocket, the process can be accelerated. In this country was a matter of finding the best immigration firm, giving a couple of bucks to my representative and senator's campaign funds didn't hurt either. But still a long painful process.

See the USCIS does offer what they call expedient service, but none for the I-130, love that word expedient, can just call it a legal bribe. So what's your hangup, getting your wife released from Colombia or bringing her here? Also though about going to Colombia, have a brother-in-law that could use an experienced diary farmer, but not sure about picking coffee beans, exceptionally good on farm machinery that is always a problem. But managed to see my wife for at least a week every three months, it's a pain in the ### when you have to also earn a living. Well all that is history now, she is a USC citizen and I almost shed a tear at her oath ceremony. Still brainwashed by the USCIS thinking I have to save proof that we are living together after living that way for over five years.

On this board, was always people ahead of you, and always people behind you, but time does pass, and very slowly when you are apart. Did keep myself busy with many webcam conversations, photos, and redecorating my home to suit my wife's taste. But really great to see that lovely smile every morning. Felt my constitutional rights as a natural born USC and a veteran of a foreign war were really invaded by the USCIS with a complete disclosure of both our love and financial life. IRS only gets involved with your financial life and having to keep records of your most deepest personal life with the USCIS is almost too much.

I'm soooooooooooo sorry they have kept you apart so long. :( I know what you mean though, time DOES pass by very slowly when you're apart. It hurts like hell being away. :( SO, going back to what you were saying about leaving :) ...................... GOOD FOR YOU, BUDDY! :) You two deserve to be happy and it's ridiculous for them to keep you guys apart for any longer. I would've done the same if I were in your shoes. I don't know how you lasted so long, BUT don't worry... you'll be with her again in just few short weeks!!!! :) I just wanted to say congratulations!!!! :) May God bless your marriage with TONS of happiness & love! May God bless you both!

In happy moments... PRAISE God.

In difficult moments... SEEK God.

In quiet moments... WORSHIP God.

In painful moments... TRUST God.

At every moment... THANK God.

If God brings you to it, HE will bring you through it.

God does not ALWAYS remove difficulties.

He uses them for our own good and His glory.
