I called Dos yesterday coz i was free and had nothing to do , so i thought calling DOS would be some thing good , i was thinking this time they will say case is again in AP but surprisingly they said same thing case is under administrative review in embassy but visa specialist also said that ,"passport Requested". i asked her again what indeed is there in your computer can u please tell me she told me again , all i can see about your case in my computer is that " it is under administrative review and they need your new passport coz your passport has been expired " honestly this is true my passport was expired last month and i have made new passport already "

I asked her then when they will contact me she said , this up to embassy when they will contact you we can not force them to contact u but she told me soon they will contact you via phone or sending u letter to submit your passport . she was very nice lady and thanks to her ... her name was ANNA OR MONA i forget that but sounds like Anna i guess i hope some one know her here

but i need to know some stuff , do they need my passport coz my passport is expired or they will need passport coz they will issue me visa

any one has any idea about that , or any experience

thanks in advance

i know that brother , but i am confused about one thing that what lady told me saying "PASSPOR REQUESTED" she did say they need your new passport coz it is expired , but what is in my mind they need passport to issue me visa after long wait of 19 months or they will put again in some sort of ####### processing ,,,, as far as i know whoever called by embassy especially in Pakistan to submit their passport they get their visa with in 5 working days and recently happened with one of my friend that is now in usa ,

alot of people told me Ar is good thing they review case to check everything and then issue visa on that , any one has any idea about that

I don't know, but it sounds like good news to me! If they weren't ready to issue the visa, why would they need the passport? At least you know they are actively reviewing your case. Hopefully it means they are ready to give the visa. Looks like you will know very soon! Have you tried calling the embassy? I'd call and tell them what DOS told you.

thank you so much guys for all your responses , i tried calling embassy today but guess what phone was busy , i tried for like 3 hours and phone was busy , i dont think so they will ever be free , or they purposely keep the phone busy , coz they dont want to get annoyed ,

recently one of my friend visited US Embassy in islamabad , he told me that now days they dont allow any one , even us citizen , he told me that , that they have written out side embassy stating " important note ,,,,,, please dont come here including us citizens, and also the applicants , we are working on all cases , no need to visit here and if u want to contact us then call us "

by the way they dont pick up phone nor they reply of emails , my lawyer sent them more then 15 emails in 4 months and they never replied back of single email even to my lawyer and she was also surprized ........

i think the best thing some one can do is to sit relax and wait ,,,,,,,,,, i still prefer DOS atleast they say something , they are not like embassies , that have locked doors from inside and dont talk , dont reply , no query , no update , only Access-list with "access-list 1 deny any " (cisco command to block all traffic )

They would invent holidays if they could.

"They would invent holidays if they could"

you are 100000000 percent right , tammy

one of my friend , was able to contact them and she told me that they are worse than DOS they dont say a damn thing , she told me when i called them and i asked them about the case , they never asked about my case number and saying in advance , your case is under process and danggg , hang up  she was very pissed off ,

forget about us being applicants , atleast US citizen should be allowed and i believe its embassy is another home to the US citizen and they should have access any time they like , does it mean if they have an emergency they wont be able to go inside , this is horrendous,,,,,,,,

but we cant do a damn thing , they have unlimited powers , they don't talk , they don't listen and THEY DON'T CARE i had experience with other embassies too and i found them very cooperative , and the most cooperative embassy i found out is new zeland embassy , they are very very nice people , if u send them email , they will reply u with all detail , if u still dont understand , mail again , mail again , and mail again they wont get tired until u dont understand , regards to visa process you can talk to direct that officer who is handling your case , you can send him personal email referring with you case number and he /she will let u know what is going on with you case .........

i think embassy should be like this , they should make your life easy not to make your life a living hell , like embassy of united states are doing , anyways what we cant do anything except praying to them that one day they will understand what is going on with the applicants
