Couric: Do you believe evolution should be taught as an accepted scientific principle or as one of several theories?

Palin: Oh, I think it should be taught as an accepted principle. And, as you know, I say that also as the daughter of a school teacher, a science teacher, who has really instilled in me a respect for science. It should be taught in our schools. And I won't deny that I see the hand of God in this beautiful creation that is Earth. But that is not part of the state policy or a local curriculum in a school district. Science should be taught in science class.

yes, religion is for religion class..

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

In another evolution vs. creationism discussion a guy said his science teacher friend had a great way to deal with his fundie students:

Student: Why do you only teach evolution in your biology class?

Teacher: Oh, you want me to teach creationism? Then which religion's creation myth should we use? Personally I prefer the Aztec's.

Student: But that's not what they teach us in Sunday school!

Teacher: Well, if you already know it, why should I teach it? We're going to learn about science in my class; if you want to learn more about religious teachings bring it up in Mr. Smith's sociology class.

An accepted principle? I guess the guy staying with her after he porked her a few times and made kids with her would be an accepted principle. Maybe her daughter not aborting that kid is an accepted principle. However, last I checked fossils, and especially the Australopithecus and Dinosaur fossils, didn't come from principle.

It's annoying when a poster likes to skewer someone else on semantics but gratifying when the same poster makes himself look like a fool. You "porked" up again.

As much as it has to with your daughter getting an abortion. In SRVT's worldview, everything has six degrees of separation from Sarah Palin or Kevin Bacon.

those are her principles, however, fossils are not a principle, they are fact. don't try and twist things up because palin is constantly exposed as the idiot she is.

I was wondering... what IF it turns out she is a good debater? This whole process has been so full of absurdities and surprises that it would be interesting.

I am not watching the debate though since I am teaching, but will get the summary from AJ, my source for world and national news :jest:

she could turn out to be a good debater, i could also win the lottery :P

seriously though, i am really interested in seeing her out there on her own and having to answer questions without mccain holding her hand and covering up her mistakes. there will be no media to blame either, it will all be down to her.

i'm sure there will be lots of videos on the internet for you to watch at your leisure if you so desire :)
