What incredible courage McCain has once again demonstrated! He would rather lose an election than let the American people down. He's on his way to Wash to do his job as a Senator, something Obama hasn't done since his election as a Freshman Senator.....

This was hours after the Obama campaign asked his campaign to issue a joint statement on the economy. Both agreed.

McCain wants to delay Friday's debate- which is where it comes down to. Too much of GWB and people's economic troubles tied in to the poll numbers.

We'll see what happens with the debate. I suspect a compromise- debate on Friday with both campaigns suspended between now and then. So both can work on the crisis.

No, its a political move. He will loose the election on the economy, unless he can do something to change voters perceptions. But it may be too late to make a difference.

He's not called an intuitive politician for nothing. I don't know what his motivation is - but, suspending a campaign sounds like we are in deep doo doo unless it's a stunt - who knows? We don't, we are the little people
