Yet, how you behave after you read something is not my responsibility and all your indignity won't change that. Not everyone agrees with you, not everyone agrees with me. Get over it. This "piece of work" has.

That long post of yours suggests you're not over it, otherwise you'd move along.

One thing you also overlook about an opinion is while you have a Constitutional right to speak your opinion, no matter how extreme, others have the Constitutional right to speak their opinion on you or your opinion. There's no rule or law that suggests people have to quietly let you tell them your opinion without any sort of rebuttal.

In many threads I say my piece and move on because I don't care to debate them. In others, I'll attack other opinions or defend my own. That's the nature of debating. Don't get what the complicated part of this is.

It's only long because I inserted the quote. I am the subject of nowhereman's angst, and responded because he has become obsessed with trying to school me, and needs help to move along. Would you prefer that I quietly let him give his opinion without any sort of rebuttal? Don't talk out of both sides of your mouth. You're too smart for that.

I don't overlook at all that there are mutual rights, and I don't try to make other people shut up, and some do to those with whom they disagree. There are consequences for everything, but the bottom line is, individuals are responsible for the way they react to others. I didn't back down, as expected, and gave my opinion of their opinions, an act which has stuck in the craw of a few of you who continue to revist the issue. Do you plan to beat it into the ground until you make me change my mind, cause, frankly, I'm not on a crusade to change yours.

It's not complicated. That's why you don't see me starting apology threads.

I'm not sorry for apologizing... but I should just stop trying to get VW to understand that he made a post that a reasonable person (having absolutely nothing to do with their political affliation mind you) would find offensive or at least in poor taste. VW will believe what he wants to believe & ignore everything else, which unfortunately seems to be all too common these days.

I did not mean you personally but in general.

I also meant people with extreme left wing views in the OT section of VJ. They just tend to respond the way you did yesterday. Rather than discussing the topic or issue, they prefer to respond with an insult against another post and the poster's views. Therefore, it is safe to assume, here in OT, that someone who responds like that is a liberal. There are not too many conservative whose first post in a thread is "your an idiot, chop ####, dumb ######, stupid, inbred, backwards etc".
