Hi everyone. So I have finally got everything sent in to the NVC now. On the 4th they received my AOS, on the 11th they entered the DS3032 and on Monday they will receive the DS230. So does any one have a idea how much time could be left assuming we have no RFE's? I'm just asking about the NVC process, I know we have 2 months give or take for the embassy interview from nvc approval. THanks and good luck to everyone.

Also how long does it take for the I-864 to be approved? The NVC received it on 9-4-08...this is the only part to the whole NVC process I am stressing out over. Long story short, I was on workers comp and didnt work this whiole year. About 4 weeks ago I got a job and am on track to make over 60,000 a year but at the time I sent the paper work in I only had 1 paycheck for one week and it was for 1000 bucks...I wrote a letter explaining all this to them along with a letter from my employer so I should be good but there is a part that still stresses...

Hi! Seems we are not too far behind you. I emailed our ds3032 to NVC last Sept 7th and I got an auto response from them. We have yet to get a confirmation of acceptance/processing of it and I have since then sent them the hard copy thru fed ex last Sept 12th. That should reach them by Monday or Tuesday. My husband has also sent his AOS also on Sept 12th. I understand that NVC will only send the ds230's after they have received the AOS and the 3032 and the IV bill is paid. Any idea how long we would have to wait? I am hoping to be scheduled for interview mid December as my daughter wil be going on her Christmas break from school then and she has exams to deal with before that. We aren't exactly patient at this time, as I am sure most of us here are, if not all.

And good luck to you as well :star:

12-09-08 - INTERVIEW @ 6:30AM...God be with us! --- APPROVED!!!

12-11-08 - VISAS RECEIVED....YAHOOOOO!!!

04-07-09 - POE: Chicago O'hare

04-28-09 - received SSN's (after having to apply for them personally!!!!)

Currently, case complete should only take 2 weeks if there are no RFEs.

As was said, it could be sooner. Sent in the last of my paperwork (DS-230 pt 1) to arrive on Monday. I'm hoping/expecting no more than a week for case complete.

When I spoke to the embassy, they said they do the name-check after the interview. Could be different in other countries.

As for stressing over AOS, I've been calling NVC since it was delivered. They tell me as long as everything is OK, you won't hear ANYTHING until case complete.

So the AOS is a case where, no news is good news.

Regarding the new employment concern, as long as your last 2 years looked good and you verified current income was up to the 125% guideline, you should be fine.

For the AOS you can speak to an operator to find out if the review of it has been completed and it is ok.

To the OP, 10-14 days should be fine for case complete barring any RFEs.

LuLu,

you can always call and ask the operators anyting...but as I mentioned, they told me that as long as there are no problems with AOS, you really don't hear anything.

OH....

NOTE - when we sent in our IV Package (DS-230 Part 1, passport pics, photo-copy of passport bio pages, marriage certificate, birth certificate, and police clearance certificate) we put sticky ID tabs at the bottom of each item, so when you open the package you can easily locate them. We're trying to make it as easy as possible for them to give the A-OK and pass it onto the Embassy.
