I just called NVC and my case was completed on Jan. 14!!!!!!!!!! Woohoooooooo!!!!!!!!

Probably just missed the cutoff for Feb. interview but early March would be OK too - just want to have enough time to buy tickets to go over in May before the price is over $3500p/p - don't want to buy until G's visa is approved -since we are coming through POE together in July it doesn't matter if it takes a little time until he has visa in hand.

My case was approved in September too, but due to a typographical error by USCIS it was not forwarded to the NVC. Anyway, my NVC process starts now. Can I request an expedite from the NVC because of USCIS's error that costed me 4 months? I am also going to request an expedite based on a medical condition. Lets hope it does not take too much time to get through the NVC process.

It is normal for immigration documents to get stuck in customs in China. I've been checking tracking reference numbers and except for a small package sent at the begining of the month all October mailings from NVC to Guangzhou are stuck. CR-1 should go quickly once Guangzhou opens the application. I've almost given up hope for a February interview I am hoping for March right now. Either way I really wanted her here for my birthday and it looks like she will miss it Hopefully we will be able to celibrate her birthday together.

I am a little worried, case was complete 1/14 but no word yet on if the file was sent to Kathmandu or when the interview will be... Govi has not received anything nor have I. I keep calling NVC and am unable to get through to a human being - the AVR is still saying 6 to 8 weeks....

Well the Chinese new year has come and gone and still stuck. After a week of no updates on the DHL site it finally says still in Clearance Delay. :crying::crying::crying:

By the time they receive, open, and review the file I will most likely be looking at an April interview. I really wanted to go back to China during the cooler weather but looks like I will be getting the heat again.:blink::blink:

Hopefully things will be better in the Year of the Ox.
